Dear Trish, thank you for choosing our restaurant and also for leaving us a positive review! We are sorry to hear an inconvenience occurred that slight spoilt your evening. May we ask what exactly it was? Thank you. We hope to see you again in...More
This overpriced restaurant is obviously a place for international people with money who have neither taste nor the slightest idea of what fine dining means. The minute we sat down a unit of whimsical waiters startet to serve complimentary bread, some water, etc. and kept...on scurrying (except between the primo and secondo, when we sat almost left alone at the table for approximately 25 minutes), even took the olive oil, salt and pepper off the table while we were still eating. Before we ordered our mediocre food, a pretentious and absolutely full of himself sommelier explained our choice of wine to us, not only superficially but also deficient. The pasta was definitely undercooked (and as an Italian I am quite familiar with the term and correct texture of “al dente”) and the rest of the dishes simply tasted very very boring. The dessert wine was definitely off-key. At some point we had surrendered to the La Finestra experience and refrained from complaining, but in the end when the waiter emphasized the fact that the service charge wasn’t included we almost snapped. Just don’t go there.More
Dear Nala, We are sorry if you have felt disappointed during your visit. Our staff works hard without an exception to give everyone the best experience possible. Therefore, we encourage our guests to speak up if there is any inconvenience occurring. There is always a...More
Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant with great service. The food was exorbitantly priced for what it is and that would put me off going again or recommending the place. We ordered the langoustines (prawns) to start and were served two tails and two very small...pieces of prawn meat covered in a huge mass of whipped mayonnaise and a little caviar. Where was the langoustine??? Definitely not what we thought we ordered! The whole fish (Dorado) for main course was delicious and expertly deboned and served in front of us. But again crazy expensive. The roast vegetables were plain and simple.More
Bene here a few times. Always amazing. This time my deer was very tough and chewy. I wouldn’t order again. The service was great.
Unfortunately this was not a good experience for our group. We just arrived in Prague from Texas and were so excited to dine at this restaurant that had come highly recommended. It did not meet our expectations. The service was marginal. We waited almost 2...hours from ordering and 1.5 hours from our first course to get our main course. We don’t know what the problem was in the kitchen but some communication from the waiter would have gone a long way. Instead we had to continually ask where are food was. By the time the food arrived we were not even hungry. The food was good but we weren’t able to enjoy it because we were way past wanting to eat. The manager did come and talk to us and ended up giving us our 3 glasses of wine complimentary. It was a disappointment to our evening.More
Dear Roving, we are sorry to hear about your experience at our restaurant. It is not our standard for our guests to be waiting long, however we can get backed up if we are busy. That is still a problem on our end and therefore...More
Excellent, for business lunch we had some amuse buche, as appetiser steak tartar, risotto avec truffle, we were offered steaks, the waiter showed us in vivo several pieces of rare meat on a wooden block, we selected, they asked how we want to prepare it...and went off. I had Danish beef, perfectly prepared with some small baked potatoes. The risotto was creamy and very tasty, the meat tender, perfectly prepared. A glass of italien Grumello fitted well. The service was really very good, attentive, on hand, did not impose anything, gave advice when we wanted. Not everywhere today, alas. Sincerely recommended for special occasion. Not cheap, but you pay for qualityMore
This place exceeded our expectations in all aspects. Great food, wonderful service in an intimate yet welcoming atmosphere. One of our favorite dinners in Prague!!
Delicious dinner at this Michelin guide restaurant. We sat in the main dining room in the front. Nice and simple decor. Service was good and food was delicious. The truffle risotto was divine!!!!!!!! A must try. They have an excellent wine list. Charles, the sommelier,...helped us with our selections. If you’re ever in Prague, add this one to your list.More
Excellent italian food. It was an extraordinary night. Very cozy place. We received the best of attention from all the staff. The lobster bisque has no comparison... delicious!
If Italian restaurant is good it must have been really good. This one was really good in all respects. Eficcient and fast staff, nice ambiance,, excellent starters and perfect black rissoto. The proposed wine was also a jewel.
Maybe the waiters are not as they used to be few yrs back (joking in very polite style, remembering pur choices even after weeks) but it is still THE place to go if you want to have the best meat on the planet - maybe...this sounds a bit of over-statement, still for us it remains place with best meat in the world! Period. But everything else is awesome too - one can hardly imagine simple broth can taste this well. Or mashed potatoes. Or sliders. We travel few times per year to Prague (about 2 hrs drive for us) just to have dinner at La Finestra ;)More

We had an amazing lunch from start to finish. The service was impeccable, the wine choice and quality was outstanding and the food was some of the best we’ve eaten anywhere. The prices for the quality of the food and ambience was such good value....We will be sure to return next time we are in PragueMore

It is very nice cosy Restaurant with great food, wine and service. Highly recommended to make a reservation before you go.
We discovered La Finestra because it was a highly recommended Italian restaurant on TripAdvisor. Beautiful space with barreled brick ceilings. Great vibe. Relatively small restaurant with maybe 40-50 dining capacity. Very intimate. After we decided on our entrées, our sommelier suggested a beautiful 2016 Nebbiolo....After a delightful amuse bouche, Linda and I shared a fabulous beef tartare as our opening course. For her entrée, Linda had the grilled octopus with sautéed spinach. Delicious. I had the evening special of risotto with porcini mushrooms. Spectacular and perfectly prepared. Our service throughout the evening was wonderful and very attentive. In particular, we enjoyed our conversations with our sommelier, John. We also suggest that you take a walk downstairs to see their wine cellar and tasting room. It’s gorgeous. Overall, our favorite dining experience in Prague.More
