My 10 year old daughter and I have just spent 4 great days with Guias de Torla. We did a via ferrata (Broto), 4 canoying trips and a river rafting (kayak campo). We sincerely enjoyed the via ferrata and all the canoying trips. Our guides were excellent, always ensuring we had a good and safe time. We will defiantly go back next summer. br Jasmine and Henrik

I did a couple of excursions with Guias de Torla in July and couldn't wait to come back in the winter to try something more technical. I took part in the 4 day 'curso alpinismo iniciacíon' and I have to say it was one of the best experiences I've had in the mountains so far. The course, being in Spanish, was tricky at times, but the guides did everything to make sure I understood and were extremely patient. We covered a huge variety of things during the course which was extremely practical as well as giving as a solid understanding of the fundamentals of mountain safety. Can't wait to go back and do the next one! Big thanks to all the guides and staff at Guias de Torla!

I took the two-activities canyoning option they has suggested for me and for my 15 years old son - starting with a quite extreme (for beginners) 1st level route, and continuing, after lunch break in a very beautiful location, with a 2nd level route.
The combination was great and we have enjoyed every minute of it.
The guides were very nice and seemed very professional. We felt totally safe being handled by the two of them.

We booked canyoning and white water rafting with the Guias de Torla company. They were extremely helpful online (Alain and Edu) giving us lots of information about the activities available and the level of expertise, or lack of, needed. We popped in to shop in Torla to finalise arrangements and found the team very helpful and enthusiastic. The activites were very well organised, great fun for the timid and adventurous alike. Guide Alfredo was brilliant and Paco and staff at Kayak.com for the rafting great fun.

We were looking for a beautiful, remote, not-super-strenuous all-day hike in the Pyrenees, so we booked the 4x4 tour and hike, which couldn’t have been more perfect. After a 45-minute back-road drive up the mountains, we hiked more than 10 miles total along an easy high-altitude open trail, that led to 4 or 5 jaw-dropping viewpoints, one more spectacular than the next. It was a Tuesday in early October, and we ran across fewer than 10 people the whole day, all mountain bikers—a MUCH different experience than if we had chosen to hike in the bottom of the canyon on a weekend, which is often packed with people. Our guide Edu was absolutely lovely, with deep knowledge and infectious enthusiasm about the fascinating geological history of the area, as well as the flora and fauna. We could tailor the length of the hike to whatever we wanted, and even add in a small peak at the end if we wanted an even crazier view. At one viewpoint late in the day we lucked into an awe-inspiring view of at least 20 vultures flying around in the canyon, along with the famed and much rarer “bone breaker” raptor local to these mountains. Edu was not only knowledgeable, but a kind and easygoing companion for the day, VERY patient with all our obsessive picture-taking. We couldn’t recommend him and his company more highly.

Spent the day in Torla with Guias de Torla with my wife and 2 boys(12 and 14). We went canyoning in Los Gloces and Via Ferrata at Sorresal. The group was professional, experienced and made the day phenomenal. We are in Spain for a month and this will surely be one of the highlights! Thanks guys!

We arrived in Torla and were stunned by the beauty of the Val d'Ordessa. When we arrived at our hotel, Alain, who worked both at the hotel and as a guide recommended canyoneering if we were up to it. At first unsure, we went to the shop (which has very great sweatshirts) to discuss and Alain patiently explained what we could expect in both English and Spanish. We decided to sign up and went on the more "mellow" canyoneering expedition which had more sunshine and less rappelling and we were glad we did. The next morning we met Alex our guide. He got us fitted in thick wetsuits and then we headed out to the canyon. There were quite a few cows in the road but none were struck by any vehicles. Alex drove with great care and attention. After about thirty minutes, we arrived in the valley and were stunned by the natural beauty of the pyrenees.

Getting ready, Alex explained everything to us and the other guests (who were locals) and we set off towards the river. Having never been canyoneering, I did not know what to expect. Alex explained how to be safe and let us practice jumping in the river before we started down the canyon.

Although we were in 5mm wetsuits, the water was COLD! (Approx 2-3 degrees C) and we couldn't feel our hands if they were in the water for too long. For this reason, I was glad we chose the trip which was more in the sun. Our first big challenge presented itself to us immediately and we had to jump off of a 7 meter high cliff. With a nervous yell I took off and landed in the water. When I came up for air, I had a smile on my face that lasted for the next 2 hours. We went through underwater rock tunnels in rapids and jumped off cliffs that were 8 meters tall! We felt reasonably safe the entire time and Alex never did anything without first explaining how to be safe. Finally, we rappelled down a 15 meter waterfall. While I was very nervous, I felt safe with Alex's guidance and instruction.

We arrived back to the car with smiles on our faces and joy in our hearts. We live in Colorado and are used to extreme adventures in the wilderness and we were glad our tour was an exhilarating, entertaining, and challenging experience. While not for the feint of heart, canyoneering with Guias de Torla was the highlight of our time in the Pyrenees.

We shared a rafting boat between 5 people (and one of Guias de Torla's guides) down river ARA in May, and the water flow was perfect. It was a lot of fun, and the trip was very safe, as we were always being followed by another guide in a kayak, to make sure no one stayed behind in case the boat knocked over. They also took loads of pictures; but unfortunateley we had to pay some more in order to get them, so we didn't. The rest was great!

Hi there and greetings fron Torla-Ordesa. Yeah! the Ara this May and June is particulary majestic. We are really happy about your fun. We are sorry about your experience with the pictures. We always advise that the pictures are not included. There is one person following the raft all over the best rapids from the river bank. This takes time and many risk for him as as always it¨s been done and will be done the photos have their price if someone wanted to check and buy them later in the office. The price for the are 10 Euros and we can set you a wetransfer... if you wanted we still have them! Please send us an e-mail. This page do not allow me to send you any e-mail.. adress. Cheers

I have done both of my alpine courses with the guias de torla and a few snow excursions aswell and if you are looking for very professional guides where you at all point feel secure but who also push you to your own limits and you can learn as much as you choose yourself this is the place for you. I found them on the Internet and went the first time and I keep on coming back as once you find what you looking for you don't have to look any further.
