Ordesa is fabulous, there are many hiking trails but the one I can reccomend is Clavijas de Cotatuero. Perhaps the first half is a bit monotonous leading through an old forest but the views from the top are just outrageous!
This trail is closed in winter season- check accessibility before you go. Trust me you want to reach the top vewing point for the Ordesa views - the hike and mountain landscape are unreal! From there you can continue hiking but it will be pure rock climbing, so more experience is needed. Check my full post and photos ;))) you will definitely want to go! ;) Went December 2023 - all trails were opened and there was almost no snow - unusual?

Stunning views despite the demanding hike. It is well worth the effort. We did not quite reach Monte Perdido which requires a day hike. But even the few hours hike in the park (with the help of a bus lift to the higher area) was well worth it.

Really beautiful area with hiking trails. In order to control capacity you have to take the bus in summer and holidays, and you'll need to get to the bus queue early or you might not be allowed up.

Stunning place, the photos don’t do it justice, it needs to be seen by the naked eye. It’s about 20km and a trek that just keeps on giving. When you think it can’t get any more beautiful you reach The Valley and it gives you a last power punch of beauty. I wish I could see it all again for the first time again!

This is a place with many possibilities of entertainment depending on your physical abilities, time of the year and your own perspectives of what to accomplish. There is a serious of trails, all of them well marked and maintained. The views all over are magnificent and well worth visiting more than one time, so consider visiting it multiple times to fully appreciate what it has to offer. Check the weather as it will be the only deterrent to fully enjoy it. Choose a sunny day and go early, so you don’t have to rush through the trails without stopping to enjoy the surroundings.

Parque Nacional Ordesa y Monte Perdido is the best Natural Park in Aragonese Pyrenees, in the North of Spain near the border with France. In the middle of August we stayed in the surroundings of Bielsa (Pineta Valley and Lalarri Land, Tella and the pathwalk of churches, and Escuain Gorge), all excursions were very good. In the middle of september, we went again to this Natural Park to Torla Region (we went to Bujaruelo Valley and la Breche de Roland), great place and trekkings. A top in the region and all Pyrenees!

You can enjoy a kind of Canadian mountains, cascades, quite crowded the Cola de caballo cascade but with many other hikings without people... worth to see and enjoy for several days hikings.

Is it possible to drive into and through the park? We will be there from September 10 to September 17.
Is there an option to do short hikes, like 2-3 hours, during winter around late December. Can it be done without a guide or travel package? Will accommodation be expensive?? Even without hiking, will the area be a nice place to drive around and just enjoy scenic stops??
Hi!
We are staying in Sarvisé from the 19th to the 24th of July, and we would like to go to Torla-Ordesa during our stay in order to take the shuttle bus to Parque Nacional de Ordesa y Monte Perdido. Does anyone know, if we can get to Torla-Ordesa by bus? Or is there taxi-services, who can drive us there? Or would we be able to rent a bike in order to cycle to Torla-Ordesa?
Sincerely,
Marie Tranholm-Bjerg and Anton Langdahl, Denmark

Precio ida y vuelta 4'5€.

Could anyone suggest walking tracks in the region suitable for a dog? She’s a very fit and active Broder Coliie, but I get nervous when she’s around cliff edges and wouldn’t want to do a hike with her where there’s sheers drops. Thanks

Cola de Caballo, pradera de Ordesa, is a good track for walking with your dog.
