We had just come from the restored Synagogue in town, 114, 263 01 Dobříš (Inside is a cultural center, outside was restored similar to when it was a synagogue with the 10 commandments) which really should also be on this list. The synagogue is in the center of the town, easy to park right across the street. The cemetery is a little out of town, maybe 5 - 10 min away by car. Please note that when you get near the cemetery you should continue just a little past Lipova Street - You enter through the park on Ruzova St. The gate was closed (you need to contact the "Matana" +420 224 828 185 organization connected to the Jewish community of Prague to open the gate, I don't think there is any charge (TA this is non commercial, just the people you need to call to get in, Their number may have been written at the door but it would be helpful for people who care to go in to know this in advance, as I wish I had known). But we were able to look inside at some burial stones from hundreds of years ago. While tons of people visit the Prague Jewish Cemetery, I don't know how many people ever come to visit or say a prayer at these out of the way forgotten Jewish cemeteries (Zidovska Hrbitov) in areas which no longer have any Jews, which are all over the Czech Republic. We chose to visit a few cemeteries that were not much out of the way to where we were going anyway.
