A visit to the Cathedral is a must if you are in Fidenza. It is built of brick and has an imposing frontage with two bell-towers. It dates back to the 1100’s. It is a beautiful cathedral. There is not an awful lot to see but it is peaceful. The fabric of the building is interesting in itself. It is dedicated to Saint Domninus of Fidenza, who was martyred in AD304. The saint's relics are supposed to be in an urn in the crypt. There is a wooden statue of him in the cathedral, suggesting he was beheaded.

Basically in the center of Milan surrounded by all kinds of shopping and restaurants. So if your company is not culturally inclined, plenty for them to do around.
The building is beautiful and elaborate. You hate to think how much money was spent of poor people to build this cathedral.
Everywhere around armed guards and everyone that enters will be padded down with metal detectors. Bags checked.
When you climb higher up, great views of the city.

A nice church, probably the most interesting thing to be visited in Fidenza. The exterior is quite complex, with a beautiful facade and interesting architecture. The interior is simpler but with a beautiful crypt.

Nice church in Fidenza. I went by the Festival of Sandonino and plenty of people were to the church to assist to the service.

This Duomo is very beautiful... you would not expect to see something that nice in a little village ... but it is worth a visit.

Not too much changed from the original 12-13 century building. It is simple and no paintings and other tresaures.
The facade is excellent, with the statue of Simon, who holds a sign: this is the way to Rom. The first traffic instruction!

you are strolling through the basically quiet old town of Parma, after the typical shopping street you find "il duomo" just an example of the typical old italian downtown architecture - a place to relax and have a quiet nice last glas of local wine in the bars surrounding this nice piazza !

This is a beautiful church in Fidenza. At least the interior is. I couldn't see the exterior as it is currently undergoing restoration and is completely covered with scaffolding.

The Duomo at Cremona was an unexpected pleasure. It is very beautiful indoors and out. The outside is beautifully lit at night.

After seeing the Duomos in Milan, Florence, Siena, Montreale, not every Duomo excites me, but this was definitely a very worth while time spent walking into the church and seeing its ornate ceiling, beautiful cross and architecture.
