Amazing private chateau which has the same owners for more 300 years.

Enormous territory which well-maintained. There you can find place for the picnic with a tables and benches with a playground nearby, tree mosaic, labyrinthe, flower garden, fontaine with sculptures and etc.

Lot's interactive installations about fairy tales of Charles Perrault which will be very interesting both for children and parents.

Nice location for a wedding and photo shooting.

This was one of the highlights of our week staying in Gif-Sur-Yvette. We chose a brutally cold January day to explore the delightful grounds - will definitely return when it's warmer!

A wonderful chateau which is under renovation but is well worth a visit, it is chateau you can walk around, touch, sit and photograph. The chateau is also used for events, film sets, weddings and there are rooms to rent in the Castle Keep.
A Grand setting and a wonderful feel, the staff are very helpful and informative and if your lucky the Duke himself sometimes takes the tour.

A beautiful and impeccably kept family owned chateau. A guided visit is very well explained by a charming young woman and/ or the owner himself, depending on the amount of people present. The chateau has a main theme: Perrault's childrens stories. There are scenes from several done in life size wax figures and others in beautiful miniatures. During the afternoon there is a story telling session for children and also often special activities. The day we visited, there was a piano concert for the children with the music of Babar. There are so many interesting details that it is impossible to include all in a simple review. This enchanting place is well worth a visit, especially for children, as besides the chateau itself there are lovely gardens, and a huge park where they can play, and even picnics are permitted. I intend to return again next summer with my grandchildren.

It's a perfect place to bring young kids especially if they are Francophones, as a lady tells stories to the great joy of the kids (and parents).
The gardens of the castle are beautiful and The stables have been turned in to interactive story boards for famous fairy tales written or "made better" by Perrault a friend of the Breteuil family.

The castle has been in the same Familly for 400 years and you feel the sense of pride in the way it's kept. There's a park with swings etc...for the kids

Our group of ladies were guided through this historic and beautifully maintained chateau by the knowledgeable Helene, who made every room come alive for us. The property is fantastic, but the stories of the major historical events that have occurred there, the famous people who have walked the halls and the added connection to children's fairy tales made it so much more interesting than a usual tour. Please go and experience.

Visited the Chateau during the Easter holidays on a beautiful day.

You can walk around visiting all the different stories and see the setting of the scene, you can press a button on some of the scenes and get the story however this is in French now maybe they could add on other languages too.

There is a picnic area with a playground which was great and on this day their little cafe was open outside that sold crepes, ice cream and drinks etc. There are many walkways which is great to do when there is good weather.

We visited the Chateau too, tours are only in French which again I think they could do something about, either have bilingual tour guides or give out audio guides. You can visit the Kitchen and the Sleeping Beauty scene by going through the shop.

I would strongly recommend to get your tickets beforehand as there was only one ticket window open throughout the whole day, needs more staff at the gate to help people etc Parking was easy.

Nice place, well kept, clean, toilets easy to find near the Chateau too. Would visit again on another sunny day.

Only guided tours were available which were well done but were only available in French. For us the highlight was the kitchen.

It is a great place to visit if you live in Paris. Nice day out. There is a good play ground for kids and nice picnic area. We paid about 55 Euros for family of 4 to get in. There is a guide tour 50 minutes which was nice to know history. It was French. Gardens are amazing . It is huge so also nice for trekking. For us the playground was the highlight . Better to bring your picnic with you. There is a small café for food but not so rich. If you live in Paris it defiantly worth to visit.
