What people are saying
A nice and clean waterpark but waaaaay too crowded...

After reading the reviews on the Tripadvisor website, we decided to visit Onda Blu on a weekday, hoping it would be less busy than on Saturday or Sunday. Since we went on the first Tuesday in August, which in Italy is the month when everybody is on vacation, we were expecting the place to be busy but we never thought it would be that bad. Although we arrived 15 minutes before the park actually opened, there were already lots of cars in the parking lot, and we found out that people were being admitted into the park before it was actually supposed to open. So when we got in at 9:50, there were already lines in front of the most popular slides, like the one for which you needed the inflatable tube. At 10 o'clock sharp the slides opened and the craziness began. All day long, there were lines everywhere and for everything, so it felt like you spent most of your day waiting in line and not actually sliding and having fun. The worst line ever was for the inflatable tubes, and the waiting time was about 30-35 minutes each time at the bottom and some 10 more minutes on the top. (You have to carry the tube up the hill to the start of the slide yourself, and when you get there, there is another line...) Given that it took only about a minute to go down the slide, it was simply not worth it. And last but not least, the COVID-19 safety distance rules were not followed at all. Although there were red lines on the ground which clearly showed where people were supposed to stand in order to keep safe distances while in line, most of the guests ignored these marks and they were actually coming closer and closer to you, as if this way the line would start moving faster. Once some middle-aged dad tried to tell some teenagers to leave him and his son some space but the teenagers (who were in a big group behind him) starting yelling at him and insulting him so badly that it was quite scary. There were only a couple of life-guards who really cared and who tried to enforce the rules but with people pushing and ignoring the rules 5 seconds later, it was quite a futile effort. All in all, we didn't have a nice time. My kids usually love these types of parks and never want to go home but here the lines were so bad that we got fed up around 3pm. We went back to the beach afterwards and decided that it was way better anyway.

Nice waterparc with waterslides for all ages. Nothing too spectacular though; the most thrilling slides were not that thrilling. We have been to more exiting places.

Normal price is €22, come after 14:00 and it is €13. The parc is open until 18:30. We came at about 14:00 and stayed for four hours, which was enough for us.

The admittance price is equal for adults and children. It does not include a locker (€2, small locker) and beds+parasol have to be hired as well (€5 for two beds + parasol, plenty available). There is a picnic area in a corner of the parc where you can sit/lie as well, it is covered with trees and therefore nicely shaded.

In the main swimming pools, swimming caps are mandatory (can be bought for €2), on the slides they are not.

The place is very well looked over by numerous lifeguards who take their jobs serious.

We came on a weekday, the parc was not too full and waiting lines for slides were between none and 10 minutes. Everything is clean including toilets. There are only 5 changing cabins as everyone comes in swimwear anyway.

Nice for an afternoon of water fun. I would not go back for seconds and to us it would not have been worth the full admittance fee because of the limited number of slides.

Went to this Aqua park on our way north from Montesilvano. Amazing place for the kids aged 19months and 4 years. We went early 10:30am, 30 minutes after it opened so we were able to enjoy the slides before the crowd arrived. There were about 10 slides, a river, pool with waves and an area for kids. Most of the slides there isn't a queue except for the water slides with buoy, there was a 30mins + queue. Minimum height requirement for the water slides is 110cm. And you're not allowed to company your child. Our son is only 4 years old and can't really swim. So we always go ahead and wait for him at the other end.
The area for the younger kids is fantastic. There is a self service restaurant and a fast food. And a picnic area as well.
The path gets REALLY HOT!. Dangerous for kids. Its advisable to get a pair of crocs or thongs. I hope the management do something about it. Maybe hose it every now and then.

Nice to spend an afternoon there. Lots of entertainments for kids. There is a green area with trees, thus you don't need to rent an umbrella. If you shop at Acqua e Sapone and spend enough (I think 20 euro) you will get a full day ticket for AcquaPark for 7.50 euro.

Nice day today in this aqua park,
A lot a place available with umbrellas, rental for the day 5€. Kids under 100cms free entrance and under 140cm 15€. They have a very nice garden with trees and natural shade, very pleasant. Waiting a lot to get the food order for lunch however, they have a very big pick nick area. Water activities, are to be done at least once. Weak point, the staff doesn’t speak English.

I usually don't like these parks, but I must admit it is perfect.
Professional staff, clean, good "rides", high safety standard and..... not busy at all (a Tuesday in July)
Of course, you should avoid August
But for now, good job!
Kids liked it too, by the way.....

Great waterpark for summerday fun. We visited Onda Blu with our 4 year old boy and both the adults and the child had lot of fun. Even the smallest children have a lot of things to do in this park. Everything was clear and in good shape.

Only thing that I wonder is that a swimming hat is required for everyone in the swimming pool. This is obviously common everywhere in Italy, but I really don’t understand this requirement. If a swimming hat is required, then maybe the men with a lot of hair in the chest, should also wear a whole body suit when swimming 😂 Anyways, in Scandinavian and Baltics no hat is required when swimming and I have not seen any problems because of that. So, this is just a habit that I wonder...

So great place to visit, but be sure to remember to take a swimming hat with you!

It was ok. The slides were pretty good and it was very clean. Food was good. They closed all the toilets a half hour before they closed the park...so big queues at the dressing rooms. Getting out of the parking was tough. We would go back no problem. Very helpfull and friendly staff

Nice park but very very busy in the main wave pool and the lazy river.

The slides are pretty good and as long as the children are over 1m there is a lot open to them.

We went after 14:00 and it was cheaper for the afternoon at €13 per person, children or adults as long as they are over 1m. Sun beds are extra but there is a large grassy and shaded area which is free to use.

The “lazy river” was ridiculous, I would not let my children go in there due to the amount of people rammed in the thing! It was dangerous, constant whistle blowing and saw one person get dragged out by a lifeguard who had to jump in. The wave pool wasn’t any better once the wave signal goes off. There were 3 lifeguards on the pool and hundreds of people wedged in there.

The slides were good, the children loved it and the big children’s water slide area was great but wouldn’t rush back.
