Great fun family park for younger kids. None of the rides are particularly scary but all are great fun. The queues were not bad at all, the longest wait was for the coaster ride so get that done early. Nice little zoo area to look around and the kids enjoyed petting the donkeys that were loose in the park too. We spent 4 hours there as an afternoon activity tagged onto schauinslandbahn in the morning, and that was enough time to do everything.

After visiting the all-too-famous theme park Europa Park, we found this park even more attractive, and were happy to pick this destination for our summer vacation family trip.
Much quiet and (at least feel to be) spacious than the theme park at Rust. No long queue, but a 218m-long hanging bridge.
For those nature and animal lovers, there were many local and Alpine animals (such as marmot and deer).
That's good enough for our family to spend one whole day.

Something for everyone here with a mix of rides, animals and other attractions e.g. 4D cinema. Stunning setting with amazing views of the black forest from the chair lift. Might not suit older teenagers but good for up to age 13. We spent the whole day here and thought it was good value for money.

We visited in June with our 10 and 7 year olds and had a fantastic day out. Rides were brilliant and so much fun and hardly any queueing. Ran very efficiently. My daughter had cut her knee on our way and the staff were so lovely getting her first aid and a plaster. It is set in the beautiful Black Forest with amazing scenery all around and very breathtaking. Lots of animals to see on the walk down. Highly recommend for all ages and next time we are in Freiburg will definitely visit again.

This was a great place to spend the day with my 11-year old nephew, 16-year-old niece, and my sister. It's a small mountainous park with rides that will actually thrill you, because they don't require the same safety procedures as they do in the USA. The mountain coaster is single or double on a cart, which you control the speed of. There's an attendant at the beginning, but you're expected to exit on your own (as you are with all of the rides). The only thing keeping you from running in to the person ahead of you is your own common sense. They'd never get away with the toboggan run in the USA because there is no attendant, you load your own sled onto the track, there's no safety harness of any sort, and the only thing keeping you from tipping over is your own common sense. Use the right hand track it's faster! In addition to the several great rides (we did them all multiple times) there are play areas for littler kids, lots of trails, and lots of animals, many of which you can see while riding the chair lift up to the top of the mountain for the toboggan run (you can also walk down across the suspended bridge). The rides are generally pretty short, but we went on a Wednesday in June and there were virtually no lines so we did them over and over. Would recommend it to anyone.

We spent the whole day here with our kids who are 8 and 9 and for them (and us) it was fantastic. The rides might be too big for toddlers and too short for demanding teens, but even adults can get an adrenaline rush on some of the rides, nearly all of which are based on the bobsleigh-luge.
There are about 6 "big" rides and the queues were 10 mins max. There were also other play areas and areas to explore. Set on a mountain side the views were pretty good too. You could also see a few animals in the park, including deer, rabbits and donkeys.
We paid 80€ for the four of us and had a great day. It's not cheap but costs a third of the price of Europa Park and our children had to be dragged away after 6 hours or so.
We took our own picnic but the food on offer didn't seem to extortionate.

We enjoyed a visit on the very last day before the Park closes for the Winter. It was quiet, which was great for us as all the amusement rides were quickly accessible. We were impressed with all the animals on view and the layout of the park. We will visit again.

Visited with kids aged 6 and 8 august 2012. You can choose to just visit the park and skip the rides, but I wouldn't recommend this. The park is very scenic and beautifully placed in the mountains. There is basically only four rides - River rafting, indoor rollercoaster, indoor 'rodelbahn' and an outdoor 'rodelbahn' which is basically just a very long slide you ride on a small sled. All the rides were quite fun and the lines weren't too long. The animal part of the park was just about ok, but you only get to see local animals. All in all a fine park for half a days visit - although a bit pricy.

Its very easy to spend half a day in the park and even more - there are not too many activities, but there are some which are just magnificient, and the fact that they are located under a roof also makes a rainy day a happy day... If you have the "Hochschwarzwald card", you can get in free with unlimited number of times you can use the attractions. For us (with a 12 year old and an 8 year old kids), the most fun stuff were both the external and the internal track rollers (the internal one is much more fun), the roller coaster (also internal) and the water slope which is also really nice. All in all, a very nice and clean place, with fun attractions. Highly recommended!

Are there problem with ticks in the park? We don’t know the area.
Thanks

Is the bobsled starting point reachable on foot or with another mean of transport instead of by chairlift?

I recommend taking the chairlift, don’t waist time and energy. You should focus on the attractions not on exercising 😃
