Sono venuto ancora una volta in questa chiesa altomedioevale (conserva bei affreschi quattrocenteschi) venerdì scorso per un vernissage di una mostra di scultura moderna ed ho ancora apprezzato una volta (e direi ogni volta di più) questa splendida location che si presta benissimo ad accostare antico e nuovo in una cornice suggestiva.
Se non ci sono eventi in corso, qualche difficoltà a trovare aperto ma potete sempre rivolgervi al Comune che è proprietario (o che comunque gestisce il sito). Non facilissima da trovare ma tutti vi sapranno indicare come raggiungerla.

uno dei più antichi monumenti cristiani del Piemonte sud-occidentale. risalirebbe all'Xi secolo l'interno e' abbellito da un ciclo di affreschi del 1400, utiizzata come sede di mostre, manifestazioni, ecc da non perdere nella visita di Manta

Visita effettuata una domenica del mese di maggio 2019 in occasione della mostra Alpi dell'arte. La mostra notevole ma la chiesetta mi ha sorpresa grazie ai suoi affreschi, merita davvero una sosta magari in abbinamento alla visita al Castello della Manta oppure alla vicina Saluzzo. Aperta in primavera e nei mesi estivi solo la domenica pomeriggio.

Bellissimo monastero credo antichissimo Molto suggestivo è particolare nelle sue Mura credo molto antiche consiglio a chi viene in questi luoghi qualche minuto per visitare questo monumento,. Da non perdere

Graziosa chiesetta dalla bassa facciata a capanna edificata con ogni probabilità alla fine del Mille insieme a un piccolo monastero benedettino poi scomparso.
Molto interessanti e di pregio gli affreschi quattrocenteschi custoditi all'interno e di scuola affine a quelli del vicino castello.
Sconsacrata da tempo e di proprietà del Comune oggi la chiesetta è utilizzata per ospitare mostre e altri eventi culturali.

Ci siamo arrivati per caso al ritorno da un pranzo in zona e siamo stati fortunati in quanto è aperto solo alla Domenica pomeriggio. Restaurato di recente a cura del comune ( credo ) con parco e costuzione annessa con piccolo museo di reperti locali

ci si arriva quasi per caso uscendo dal percorso della Manta ai margini del paese, merita la visita anche se tante aree anticamente affrescate sono andate perdute

Il castello di Manta e la chiesa annessa sono molto belli e ricchi di storia . Gli affreschi sono decisamente al di sopra delle migliori aspettative.
Santa Maria di Monastero e' una sorpresa da non perdere.

Ci ha lasciati un pò di stucco, non ci aspettavamo una Chiesa sconsacrata e con una mostra all'interno! Noi abbiamo trovato una serie di quadri lavorati con il legno (sarà che non siamo appassionati, ma non ci sono proprio piaciuti...)
Comunque molto bella, interessanti da vedere anche quello che rimane degli affreschi del 1400.
Consiglio una visita, ma non aspettatevi la classica Chiesa.
