- Savannah O5 contributionsA Wonderful Petit Museum!Found this museum by accident when visiting the parmigiana cheese museum and we loved it! The owner Mauro was very friendly and taught us so much! We often see antique machines and equipment in museums sitting behind glass cases, but Mauro actively showed us how every machine worked up close. Our 5 year old child especially enjoyed this museum and Mauro even gave her a small gift for the road. Definitely recommend this wonderful petit museum if you are nearby!Visited August 2023Traveled with familyWritten August 20, 2023

He explained all the interesting details behind the local agriculture and has such an amazing collection of tools and machinery. Even with our broken Italian we managed to understand his story and really recommend visiting.Visited September 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten September 3, 2023
- Pere PSpain1 contributionExcelent. You must visit to learn about the recent past of life in the areaA different museum. A personal museum. A life experience of the one who runs the museum. A life in a room. A chance discovery but one of the most humane visits in the area. Thank you for letting us live part of your lifeVisited September 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten September 22, 2023

The person that created and still manages the collection has a lot of knowledge and interesting anecdotes to share. A great way to get to know how life was in these areas.Visited March 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 4, 2024
- Sherpa354533612161 contributionHighly RecommendEnjoyed the self guided tour with the audio downloads. I have an agriculture background and it was interesting and insightful that the cheese is still mainly produced as it was back when it was invented. Mauro was the highlight. I don't speak or understand Italian but he was so energetic and happy to show us everything . My backgroung in agriculture helped me understand about 80% of his presentation. I think it was well worth the 2.5 hrs if you are curious as to how things are and were made.Visited March 2024Traveled with friendsWritten March 4, 2024

One of the best museums in the region. Friendly guide and clear explanation. All items are really old and useful with a live show on how each item work.

We visited the parmesan museum and didn't expect to find this little gem next door to it. Must say that I was very impressed. I definitely racomand you to visit this museum if you are visiting Soragna. The owner has a vast collection of rural tools (some of them are very rare) and tells the history in such an interesting way and with such an enthusiasm that you feel like you ended in 1900. We learned a lot of that area and how the farmers lived, about traditional food and many other interesting things. It was a great experiance.
