About
Tattershall Farm Park changed hands on 15th March 2015. The new owners love the outdoors, children (they have 2 young children of their own), animals and tasty food, and this has inspired them to buy Tattershall Farm Park. Their vision is to own and run a business that makes them proud. One where their visitors want to come back time and time again. Feedback on Trip Advisor has been extremely helpful, allowing the new owners to understand what visitors like and don't like about the current offering. The negative feedback has focussed attention on the areas most in need of improvement. Changes already made - Play Barn now heated, damaged equipment repaired, children's chill out area added to cafe, cafe redecorated, new menu launched sourcing fresh, local and tasty ingredients and 'Cuddles Corner' an area where children can handle small animals Changes in progress - During April the number and variety of animals at the attraction is increasing, and these will be housed on grass in large pens with field shelters (expected completion mid April 2015). Changes that we'd like to make, but may take a little while longer include improvements to the road. Whilst 70% of the road was upgraded last summer, parts of the road are still a little bumpier than we would like!

    Brilliant day out
Lovely little place and plenty to see and do for kids and tweens! Goat walking was brilliant and the short bird show was very good as well. We took a picnic so can’t comment on the food, but did have coffees and people looked to be enjoying their food in the eating area. We stayed all day as the kids (11 years) loved it!

A wonderful day out with lots to do
Absolutely wonderful day out. Our very active 2yo loved it. We spent the whole day there and he did not get bored on any activity (and nor did we), there were even things we didn't have time to do! There were so many thoughtful touches like a "borrow box" incase you have forgotten some of the essentials (nappies, wipes, pushchair etc), potty training seats in the toilets, nappy bags and spare wipes in the baby change. The staff were wonderful and the falconry display was interesting and informative. The food was as good as you would expect in a high street chain such as Zizzi's with children's cutlery easily on hand. The only thing that would improve it would be if we lived closer so we could take advantage of the membership as of we lived closer we would be visiting several times a year!

    Fantastic Easter experience.
Wow what a fabulous place to visit. A hidden gem! We visited today with our 10, 4 & 1 year old for the Easter experience and what an experience it was! From the interactive singing to the Easter egg hunt and meeting the Easter bunny, you could see how much effort had been put in. Each member of staff we came across today were friendly, helpful and always had a welcoming smile. The animals all looked so well looked after, facility’s such as the cafe and toilets were very clean and the food was absolutely delicious! There is so much to do for children of all ages, my son especially loved the giant sandpit and bouncing pillows. We had the best family day and we can not wait to return again soon!

Wonderful place tainted by rude staff
We have been coming as a family since my first child was little (he’s 7 now) and I can honestly say we’ve never had a negative experience here. The staff have always been wonderful, the events have always been fab (the low bang firework event for bonfire night was just perfect!) and my children have always had the best day when we’ve been there. This Easter my friend and I booked for the egg hunt event, and collectively we spent £90 for ourselves and our 6 children. I contacted them in several different ways as I was concerned I had not received a confirmation… £90 is a lot of money to me and I didn’t have the tickets. So I tried their online form, Facebook messenger and calling them for about a week, and no one was really bothered enough to help, in fact I got told “you know it’s Easter? We’re very busy with the event”. So I decided I’d bite the bullet and just turn up ticketless, thankfully the woman at the entrance was lovely and she quickly found us on the system and it wasn’t a problem. I really think some of the staff are just really rude. In the cafe at lunchtime, service was very slow and it seemed like the oldest member of staff there was about 15! There was no customer services experience at all, in fact they all looked fed up like they’d rather be anywhere else. Having said all that, the egg hunt was great, and as usual everything else there was perfect! The kids had a wonderful day and we picked a great day with the weather. I just wish the staff could be a bit more friendly and helpful.

    Good family experience
This place always feels friendly and whilst large enough for good food and enough experiences to occupy the day it also still feels personal. The girls 5 and 7 both got lots out the day. The spending on new equipment was clear to see and every member of staff we interacted despite been very busy Easter holidays still took the time to smile. Everything playtime was well maintained and enough room and space in the park to not be crowded or stop the girls having the opportunity to access the equipment. They were also really good having rolled our tickets from Dec last year for us. A fun no hassle day out

Fun filled day making happy memories
Over the Easter weekend our families had an amazing day out at Tattershall Farm Park. A huge, massive, gigantic thank you to all the staff for going above and beyond to ensure they experienced the most amazing day. The families had VIP treatment with use of the private party room, a beautiful buffet, meeting the Easter Bunny, Easter egg hunt with six colours including golden eggs which resulted in the children wining an extra gift! Not to mention the fun with all the animals and walking the goats 💕 the staff team and families couldn’t thank you more. The time, the effort, the gifts, the food was all generously donated by Tattershall Farm Park and we are privileged and grateful our families had an amazing day. You surpassed all expectations 💕👌🏻🙌 !

    Fun family day out
Visited here with my niece and nephew who are under 2. There was so much to do and see that after 5 hours it was nap time and there was still so much to see. We were lucky with the weather but there is plenty of stuff to do which is inside. The food menu was really good too. We sampled the loaded fries which were homemade chips, very yummy! You will not be disappointed with a visit here!

    Lovely day out
I visited the park today with my children and they had a lovely time . My toddler especially liked the large sand pit and jumping pillow . We ate a fish finger sandwich and chips and it was lovely. We were visiting the area and it was a nice few hours out. As we left the park though , ( a onetrack road with several laybys to pull in to let passing cars ) A white Ford waited for me to pass , as I approached there was a large deep pothole full of water that I couldn't drive through or I would have damaged my tyre. I asked the lady politely to reverse abit so I could get through and she said no and why should she when she's annoyed by people passing her bungalow next to the farm everyday to get in and out of it and because I had visited I can wait till she decides to move her car. At this point there were 6 other cars behind me all full of tired children getting annoyed by not being able to move because the angry lady who clearly dosnt like people refused to reverse her car to let us all past. After an argument and the drivers all coming towards her she eventually moved after her and an elderly lady were being absolutely vile . The farm is lovely and very worth a visit especially if you have toddlers but beware of the monster that lives next door in the bungalow in a white Ford that clearly gets a kick out of refusing to let people past and being abusive thinking she owns the road 🙈

    Nice farm
Loved this farm, has meerkats and all sorts of animals. Watched an owl free flying/talks. Listened to the meerkat talk. Very good for children although we went as an adult couple and enjoyed it. Spent around two hours here, feeding the sheep/goats. Would recommend if staying at tattershall lakes as close by and cheap day out, save money booking online.

    Lovely Day Out
Farm Park is good for the whole family. It has many farm animals from cows, pigs, and sheep to birds of prey and meerkats. All animals appear to be well looked after with lots of space. We go regularly as it has a soft play area from baby-12 years (we have a 3 year old) outdoor play area, including a large sand pit with plenty toys. The restaurants on site are nice, but a bit pricey. You can bring your own food into the farm and sit outside on the benches, etc. They do an owl talk/show that we have been to, that was pretty interesting, and you get the opportunity to wear the glove and have the owl come to you. Christmas is nice, too. They have Santa's Grotto, and for an additional charge, your child can meet him and receive a gift.

The restaurant waited until we had queued for 15 minutes and paid for our meals to tell us there was a 40 minute wait because they were so busy- then eventually brought out the wrong meal (it was half term and rammed, surely they expected it!). Our car got stuck in the mud in the over flow car park, yes the weather has been awful and that was not their fault. However their attitude towards my predicament was less than professional - another visitor eventually pulled me out.

We visited today and it’s a fabulous farm with great activities however we waited for over an hour and a half to get food from the cafe, only 1 person on a till so the queue took forever. I don’t think they were prepared for the volume of visitors which could be controlled by making people pre book especially due to the current COVID climate. The indoor barns were very busy and numbers probably should be restricted at the moment and not everyone was wearing facemasks. The kids did enjoy themselves but unfortunately the wait for food make it impossible for us to fit everything in, we even missed our slot for the indoor play. Be prepared that as long as you are queuing outside the cafe, you will probably be queuing the same again, if not longer once you get inside.

Drive there some of the road is like driving on rubble and only one car fits so hopefully you won’t meet any other cars or like me a tractor as it’s difficult to pull in!
Not wheelchair friendly as they say! It nearly killed me pushing him on rough paths! The staff were all friendly and the animals are lovely, we enjoyed feeding them and petting them. The other massive downside was that we waited over an hour for tasteless overpriced food, cost me just over £38 for two burgers and a kids meal which they forgot the drink I had to ask for it. The tables were all dirty and staff I saw rolling their eyes when anyone complained which there was quite a few. When our food finally came it was lukewarm and tasteless and definitely not worth the price ! This ruined the day for us. Then to the gift shop where we were been over charged luckily I caught on and queried it was been charged a lot more for what I bought.
Sadly after been recommended to go there I wouldn’t go back or recommend it to any friends travelling to that area.

Apologies for the wait in our cafe, and for the error in our gift shop. I don't know the background to how you were overcharged as we scan items when they are bought to the till. I'm just glad we rectified it before you left and apologise for the inconvenience. Our aim is to get food in our Bistro out to our customers within 20 minutes and a one hour wait is outside our usual service standards. Like lots of businesses during March and April we've had an issue with staff shortages due to covid 19, and some of our experienced team members were unable to work due to having covid symptoms. Thankfully everyone is ok, but its been tough navigating extra busy days with a depleted team and very new starters. On very busy days (your visit was on a really lovely sunny day during Easter school holidays) there can be a wait as our food is made to order, but we do try and tell you at the point of placing your order. We have recently introduced QR code ordering, and at the time of your visit we didn't have a way to communicate to those people ordering 'online' of wait times. We have rectified this since and have placed a message on the food option that updates on current wait times. We can also offer a 'buzzer' and give you the opportunity to go and explore the farm while we prepare your food, and call you back when it is ready. We do have an alternative cafe in our Soft Play that served 'faster food' like traditional oven baked jacket potatoes, nachos, and panini as well as childrens sandwich meals and cakes and bakes, and we also had our 'snack hatch' open for take-away hot and cold drinks too. On the day you visited, as well as having people off with covid, we also had new starters being trained for their first shift (we have just trained 14 new staff to join our food and beverage team). During their training process hey are buddied up with a front of house mentor, and now (1 week on from your visit) have almost completed their training - so I'm sure that rather than rolling eyes, it was probably more a case of a look of 'rabbits in the headlights'. Our team usually get compliments for how friendly they are, and I hope should you decide to visit us again you would have a totally different experience in our Bistro

This farm park used to be so good, we have been regular members and my wife has often held an annual pass, we have always raved about the place to friends and family but just lately it’s massively gone down hill.

It’s understandable that prices have had to rise, they have everywhere. But the price hike and quality decline here is just a little extreme in my opinion. We have always eaten at the restaurant when visiting but it’s ridiculously expensive now! We spent a few hours there last week and ordered milkshakes for the children. We ordered the eldest a large (almost £4) and when it came I assumed it was the small one we had ordered the youngest (almost £3) wow was I wrong .. when the small arrived I’m not kidding it may have well been in a shot glass ! It was quite laughable actually and made for a good laugh among us, as we’d never before seen such a small serving of milkshake… the only bit not so funny was that these 2 tiny milkshakes cost us almost £7 ! Ridiculous. The coffee and hot drinks are equally expensive and served in flimsy paper cups, when I pay almost £3.50 for a bog standard coffee I’d atleast like it to be in a mug, but I suppose it saves on table service collecting and washing but not a great experience for the customer. Like wise when I ordered a cake slice to accompany it (again just shy of £4) it came in a paper bag ! No plate or any sort of presentation. It’s not really a grievance as such with the prices but if you’re going to change restaurant /cafe prices then atleast provide an expected level of service for that.

Another common issue I see among reviewers is having to exit via the gift shop, when we have held annual passes (up until recently when the price to renew increased hugely) we would often visit every couple of weeks, obviously we can’t be buying the kids a new toy every time but it really dampens a visit to take the kids back to the car disappointed as once again they’ve been told no while being dragged unnecessarily through the gift shop!

The park itself hasn’t changed much, there’s plenty for young kids to do but its not really in the realms of rand for example but a day out costs about the same to both now . I think they’re losing sight of being the great affordable local farm they’ve always been and I’ve heard the same from many other people who have visited recently who feel the same . Perhaps people on tattershall lakes will pay higher prices as a one off visit when on holiday but please don’t forget about all your loyal locals who visit all year round. You’re really going to lose us if you carry on this way

Hello. Our annual pass price was £55 from Jan 2018 - Oct 2021 when it included unlimited farm park visits. We increased the price of annual passes to £60 per person in October 2021 BUT at the same time added in extra value - we upgraded it so that annual members now save 10% in our gift shop, 10% on all food and drink, 10% off parties, and falconry experiences and now get a free piece of cake on their birthday. We launched our online booking system in September 2021 and from October 2021 have been promoting online booking on our website, Facebook and Google. When we launched online booking our entry price was £7.95 per person. On the 19th March 2022 (with 2 weeks notice) we introduced off peak and on peak pricing. If you pre-book and visit on weekdays (when its not school holidays) our price is still £7.95 and there has been NO increase. Our weekend and school holiday price is £1 more per person, so £8.95. Our small ice cream milkshakes are topped with whipped cream and served in an 8oz cup, and the large ice cream milkshakes are served in 16oz cups and topped with whipped cream too.. Your visit to us was on a very quiet day, when we were offering our full Bistro menu in our Playbarn cafe with ordering through QR codes. We were 'running' food from our kitchen into our Playbarn. We've taken on board your feedback and have subsequently upgraded the packaging that our Bistro menu is served in when eaten in our Playbarn. So as an example, we have started using biodegradable paper plates to serve cakes rather than putting them in take away bags. So, thank you for your feedback, it has helped us bring about positive change in our Playbarn cafe.

The day started well with our two grandchildren playing happily on the various play equipment both inside and out. The day went downhill when we went into the restaurant for lunch. The restaurant was very busy inside so I sat outside with my two grandchildren whilst my wife queued to order the food. It took over forty minutes to place an order as the card machines were malfunctioning and although my wife was paying cash she couldn't order or pay. After another half hour the food arrived but to my horror it was in dreadful plastic trays and cardboard boxes. We were not told that food served outside would arrive as such and If we had known we would have waited for a table inside. The rice in my chilli con carne was cold and so I sent it back to be replaced - another twenty minute wait. If that wasn't bad enough it was vey expensive and nowhere near value for money. We sat down at 12.20pm and my replacement chilli arrived at 1.50pm. By then the children were totally fed up and went off to play whilst I finished my lunch. I also think you should also have the option of leaving without having to go through the shop so as not to be pestered to spend more money on overpriced toys. I know it's been tough for companies these last couple of years but it does seem to me that some are using this as an excuse to raising prices a little higher than necessary. You've probably guessed that we wont be back, there are quite a few similar enterprises within a few miles at better value.

What a fabulous day we’ve had today! So much to see and do for the entry cost. The animals are gorgeous, brilliant falconry display and lovely play parks. The soft play area and cafe were spotlessly clean and constant cleaning undertaken. Our soft play session was at 1.30 and we ate at the cafe in there which was great as the queue for the other cafe was huge! Gift shop is also reasonably priced with lots of lovely things to buy. Thanks for a lovely day - we will be back!

I have been a member since March and I’m a regular with my grandchildren. During term time it’s quiet and we enjoy the rhubarb theatre story time on Mondays. During this time there have been so many new improvements with the music area, sensory area, extra picnic tables near the Meerkats and out side the cafe area.
We love seeing all the animals and feeding them. I always have lots of questions and Charlie, Jo and the rest of the staff are always happy to chat. Walking the goats is always great fun. My favourite is Spirit the young Highland cow, I have seen her from when she first arrived as a shy baby to now, loving a chin and neck rub.
There’s so much to do there that we often spend more time in one area than others some weeks and do something different the next. One thing we do always do is go to the Playbarn. This nannie always has a a latte and a piece of the jam and coconut slice! They are so big I always have the intention of saving some for later but I have to eat it all. As a member I get a discount too.
I cannot praise this place enough , there is plenty to do for all ages from my 18m old grandson and my older grandchildren in the school holidays who love to go too.
The most important part of any farm park has to be the animals and their welfare and I have no concerns at all with this. I’ve seen the animals being hosed down when we had the extreme heat a few weeks ago, the mummy pigs had somewhere to roll in the mud to cool off. When it’s quieter you see the staff going around the farm doing checks, feeding and mucking out. Of course they do this when it’s busy too but you probably don’t notice it as much.
I’d highly recommend a day out here, take a picnic there’s loads of places to sit and treat yourself to some cake while you are there.

Lovely day had here. When we turned up there was a queue to get in which we were worried about as it was out of school holidays and it just seemed busy compared to other places we visited this week but after a few hours it wasn't as bad. Given a set time and 45 minutes in the soft play. Food was really nice probably the best bit. Kids enjoyed themselves. Can imagine this place being very overcrowded in the school holidays as it didn't seem overly big and parts of the indoor areas seemed small which is fine on a quiet or sunny day but not sure if on a wet or busy day. Would definitely recommend a visit and we would return when back in the area.

We had a fantastic last day of the school summer hols at the farm park today. Booking was easily done online, and with discounted admission prices, even booked the animal feed! The park is always clean and tidy, inside and out. The animals are happy and healthy. We particularly enjoyed the goat walking, both chip and cookie were lovely. The falconry displays were the highlight, the guys doing it were fantastic and you get a up close and personal experience!! We arrived at 10am and by 2pm they were flagging but an ice cream kept them going until 3pm. A well priced and enjoyable day out for all the family

This is local to us and so I decided to take the kids for halloween weekend this year as we had tried most other places at Halloween. The day was muddy and wet and sadly some areas were inaccessible for a buggy and so we didnt see it all, but the kids really enjoyed the decorations and we went to the cafe for cake, we thought we'd seen we could and the kids had a good play in the outdoor play area, but then we found the indoor play area, it was great for the younger ones and really well heated, we spent another hour.
The price really wasnt all that much than what I would spent to take the kids to our local indoor play centre.
With that in mind i took them back at xmas to see santa, which was fantastic, but we found several other play areas as well, a toddler soft play area, an indoor sand room (yes a whole room) and a hay loft (although that one was a bit dusty and rather dangerous to walk on with my dodgy ankles).
I cant wait to come back here in the summer so we can try out the other areas we have yet to see.
A great find, we will definitely become loyal customers.
