Colin, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable of the history of rock in London. He shared many stories and we saw the locations and buildings that made rock history in the 60’s. The highlight was crossing Abbey Road! Very worthwhile tour, highly recommend!

Such fun! We know London well, having lived and worked here for decades but, goodness, it was so interesting to be taken by Adam (our excellent guide) around familiar streets and discover unfamiliar and fascinating nuggets of information about the places. Who knew that the building I passed by so often was the scene of Jimi Hendrix's breakthrough performance, or that the Rolling Stones recorded their first record in an unassuming building on a quiet street in tucked away Covent Garden. Well, it was very interesting to soak up all these anecdotes. I'll never walk around those streets without remembering the tour. Terrific

the Rock tour with Jim was the highlight of my trip to London. He's very knowleadgeble, very nice, he has a great sense of humour. I loved the way we listen to the songs then we saw the places connected to them: Abbey Road, Queen studios, David Bowie House, Vivianne Weswood boutique, Bill Wyman's Sticky Fingers. Everyhting was interesting and people were lovely, too

Went on this tour with (and for) our grandson who wanted to visit Abbey Road and walk across the crossing!!
We decided to make an afternoon of it and so booked this tour, the reviews of it were good.
Our guide was a very pleasant man called Guy. He was very knowledgable and showed us many interesting rock related places around central London. The tour was conducted from a comfortable Mercedes mini bus and driven by Guy the guide(!)
Guy was both enthusiastic and interesting in the way he presented he delivered our tour. He obviously enjoys his work! We saw and heard about many of the Rocks legends who lived in or visited London and also a surprising number of them who also died in London! The highlight (in our case) was Abbey Road our grandson had his picture taken walking across a certain Zebra crossing and it made his day. Guy took the pictures after walking us through how it should be done to her the best picture for us with the minimum of delay for the traffic! Very interesting tour highly recommended. It’s possible that other guides are just as good in their knowledge of the subject but Guy’s personality and patience certainly impressed us. Also a refreshing was the fact that we were not asked or hinted at to leave a tip to show our appreciation to the driver/guide which made a very welcome change!!!... and in our case encouraged us to leave a good tip as a thank you for a great afternoon out.
So we’ll done to London Rock Legends Small Group Tour (located just of Trafalgar Square on Cockspur Street) and a big thank you to Guy for being a great Guy (👍😂)

What a load of hogwash. Shame on you Ben Elton!! The story, script and characters were tenuous at best. This show was only saved by the songs and music of Queen. The voices were very good, the band was note perfect, but the actual story was a cobbled together excuse to sing a load of Queen songs. If you love Queen then go and see it, if you don't love Queen then really don't bother. It was just a bit rubbish really!

I was looking for a tour to cover locations and history of punk rock in London for me and my 16 year old daughter. During the winter, they don't have this specific group tour, so London Rock Tour organized a private trip. Our tour guide Jim, designed a trip hitting great locations with a matching soundtrack and stories. In addition to learning about the social, economic, political, and musical issues and influences surrounding the formation of punk, we were able to have a detailed discussion of the relationships between some of the classic rock folks, pop folks and the punks. We visited studio locations, houses of some of the key stars, venues where the bands played, locations of significance in the history of the music, and locations where many genres of music overlapped. We even stopped by Abbey Road, though it was more fun watching everyone else trying to take their pictures in traffic than actually taking our own. We also learned about the intersection of Reggae and Punk while in Notting Hill. Jim's talk track also included many stories behind the songs and relationships between the bands and their members.

Jim was very well prepared. We were picked up at our hotel in the Rock Bus and spent 4 hours on the tour.

If you are a music fanatic, you will love this. Lots of both well known and little known facts. Totally entertaining. Ian was our driver and I give him the highest recommendation.

Apart from the live shows we saw, this tour was absolutely the most enjoyable event we did over our 5 days there. Lee is an amazing guide. He knows EVERYTHING! Whether you just want to see sights and homes of the well known stars like Queen, Beatles, Stones, Who, cross Abbey Road, etc. Or - like us - you want to know where Stiff Records was located, the history of Hawkwind, where was the studio that Joe Boyd recorded the 3 classic LPs of Nick Drake, either way, Lee is funny, entertaining, playfully insulting, and unbelievably knowledgable. I thought I knew my rock trivia, but he taught me a handful of new things! I did stump him one time (Lee - Motorhead did record "White Line Fever" for Stiff, but it was quickly withdrawn when they signed to a major. It's on the very first Stiff compilation LP). You will not be disappointed! We did the 3 hour tour, but almost wish we had done the full day to get up to The Kinks neighborhood, etc. You will not be disappointed with Lee!
