Interesting! It was very light and nice and airy inside. Plenty of space felt rather relaxing . I gather they change over what they display to make it more appealing. You can buy provisions once inside which always helps no regrets .enjoyed !

The Bay Art Gallery is a very modern, and very popular art gallery in the centre of Cardiff Bay, on an island opposite the Millennium Centre. The building is filled with natural light and fresh air, and just outside the door is a brilliant water feature which works during the warmer weather.
There is a lot to see inside the gallery, especially for art lovers, and there are even pieces of art, models and materials for sale, which can be expensive, but are very well made and of good quality. All staff inside the gallery are friendly, and everyone who visits seems to be deeply absorbed in the surroundings.
Next door, and attached to the gallery building, is a café called the 'Pure Kitchen' which is a great place to have lunch before or after your visit. The two put together, can make a nice day out for older families, especially during the summer.
There is a multi story car park just across the road, and plenty of disabled car parking outside the Millennium centre. Most of Cardiff Bay is flat, and the Island on which the gallery stands is easily accessible. This part of the Bay is perfect for those looking for some Welsh Culture.

I prefer the displays in others photographs to what was on when I visited. It was free to enter and so I can't really be too critical. I would look in again if I was in the area.

This is a modern contemporary space. Well lit, airy with a lot of hanging space. There is a shop and an attached café selling coffee, drinks and light food, with tables and chairs both inside and outside. The exhibition space is very enjoyable and when we visited, there were a number of artists on display plus a major exhibition by a textile artist. It's close to Cardiff Bay and the Millennium Centre and a public car park (payable) is close by. It is on an island between two major roads so access has to be by controlled pedestrian crossings but this wasn't difficult.
