Please if youāve never used before check the rules regarding the token. Just been caught out as was in a hurry after a late running appointment. Paid a hefty Ā£5.60 and didnāt realise you had to retrieve token and post at barrier. Got to barrier, wouldnāt open, called help button revived and unsympathetic curt respond to pay for a replacement token at a further shocking Ā£15, even though had a receipt. No flexibility. No understanding that it was a disabled driver making a genuine mistake - just a disgraceful rip off for unsuspecting first time user. Will never use this car park again.

Absolutely disgusted at the price of fremlin walk car park. I parked for just over 2 hours and cost me Ā£5.80. Total rip off. I called the intercom and no reply. Called the telephone number and he said I had just gone over the bracket by a minute or so. Total joke and wonāt be parking here again!!!!

What can I say after my Aunt told me of her parking ordeal at the Fremlin Walk Car Park. The car park now issues you with a small token (disc) on entering the parking area but has no signs as to what you need to do. She kept it and went shopping for 2 hours. On returning to the car park, she watched the person on the next machine insert his disc, pay and walk away. My Aunt inserted her disc, paid Ā£2.50, she was asked if she wanted a receipt to which she said yes, took it and went to her car.
The following events were over the period of about 30 minutes. On getting to barrier, it didnāt open as she was under the impression it may have worked by number plate recognition. She watched the person at the next barrier insert a disc, to which my Aunt didnāt receive out of the machine, only her receipt. She went back to the machine and nothing there, she pressed the help button and was told they couldnāt help and to go back to the barrier and press the help button. She did this and was told there was nothing they could do and to go back to the ticket machine where they could issue her a new disc. She did this to be told that they would be charging her Ā£14.50 for a new disc.
She queried this and the fact she had a receipt to be told that if she wanted to get out of the car park, then she would need to pay the Ā£14.50.
So in total it cost her Ā£16.50 for 2 hours of shopping as well as embarrassment and stress.
Thanks Fremlin Walk

Just returned from a trip to Maidstone, shocked by the increase in car parking charges in Fremlins Walk - Ā£6.00 for just over 1hrs parking - daylight robbery. Will seriously consider going to Bluewater in future rather than Maidstone.

Parking is rather expensive. Wasnāt in town for more than half an hour and it cost Ā£2.20 which I thought was a bit of extreme

Fremlin walk is mainly shops inc house of Frazer, hmv & some jewellery shops, also has a couple of coffee shops along the walk, nice but expensive car park under the house of Frazer, a couple of log cabin eateries in the middle of the walkway

I live 4-5miles from fremlin walk but I prefer to drive to bluewater. Their parking is exhorbitant & one time went to pick & collect something & after paying I forgot my token in the slot & I think someone took it. I had to pay Ā£12.50 for another token. In this day & age I would think thatās necessary. There is number plate recognition but I guess they stick to this to get money out of people. On principle I would rather drive to blue water.

Good shopping centre, but it has priced itself out of reach by charging Ā£8.00 for 3 hours parking and Ā£6.00 for 2 hours.
I used the car park here at least once a week, but I will not be parking there any more and I will use an alternative if I have to come to Maidstone.
I suspect that many shops will suffer in the near future making the whole centre another white elephant in Maidstone, a less than attractive shopping centre for a county town.
I will be making more visits to Bluewater.

I remember a time when all of this had cars running through it. Not now no problem walking about. You only have to dodge people and crowds watching street entertainers. Plenty of shops to keep the ladies entertained and pubs for resting in afterwards.
