Eight masters of Ukiyo-e, including Harunobu, Kiyonaga, Utamaro, Sharaku, Hokusai, Toyokuni, Hiroshige and Kuniyoshi. Beautiful prints! This is exquisite exhibition. The bookstore/gift shop is also good. This is conveniently located not far from Eiffel Tower. The memorial to the Velo d'Hiver (deportation of Jews in 1942) is across the street. Restaurant in the museum, too. We liked the combination of this museum with the Quai Branly as they are close together.

Went to visit Foujita exhibition and was happy to see those marvellous paintings and see how during his life foujita has a led an adventurous life full of trips and events that could be linked to his success as a japanese painter in western world. His combination oriental and occidental made him perceive the french societey with a curious eye and project his precise vision on his paintings.Cat lover, naked women lover, his brush is an inspiration, a mix of japanese and flemish touch. Interesting artist and interesting work. one detail, i wish i could only take one picture with my phone, but it was forbidden!!

This new temporary exhibition is about the early opening of Japan to western visitors starting mid 19th century. It displays japanese artefacts brought back by some of them and shows a model of the Japanese pavilion during the universal exhibition in Paris. Lots of learning, and totally free of charge.
Museum is nicely located next to the Eiffel Tower

I visited the fantastic exhibition about animals in Japan and at a quarter to six I decided to go to the shop and the lady at the counter didn't allow me to enter because customers were not allowed after a quarter to six and it was 17.46. I agreed to leave and I stayed around the shop because just opposite it there was a small exhibition about a famous Japanese graphic designer that I had not seen before. Well, at ten to six a beautiful blonde woman in her early twenties showed up at the shop, smiled and entered without anyone stopping her. She left the shop at six o'clock after paying for the several items that she purchased and the very same lady that didn't allow me to visit the shop assisted her with a smile. Considering that I am a sixty-year-old man, I feel that I was discriminated due to my gender and age. The rest of the staff at the building are as rude as they are described by other reviewers and I didn't dare to complain to them about being discriminated at the shop.

Spied this beautiful building on the way to the Eiffel tower, returned there later that day. What a wonderful looking building. Inside is just as nice from the overtly friendly security guards to the exhibits to the quaint tourist shop. Bought some amazing smelling incense sticks. This place is definitely worth a visit it is very close to Bir-Hakeim metro stop.

This small exhibition focuses on popular imagery from the XVIIITH century produced in the small town of Ôtsu near Kyoto.
It is of interest mostly for scholars of Japanese culture.

A French artist, Paul Jacoulet created an excellent exhibit of wood block prints in the style of old masters. The exhibit is free.
