The highlight of our Paris trip was a spectacular private experience Martin orchestrated for my wife and four children ( ages 5,7, 9 & 17 yr old)
First, a few words regarding Martin. He is a very authentic, understanding, patient, entertaining, well-spoken and accomplished individual who is passionate and committed to his craft and to those who he leads on his expeditions. He also possesses an air of humility that allowed us to be ourselves around him without judgment and with ease. Navigating four kids around any city, each with their own interests, isn't easy yet he was so attentive to our individual needs that each of one of us at the end of the tour was like "that was the best ever tour-guide."
With respect to the actual tour, we chose to stay away from the main attractions and asked that he show us some local spots that we would not normally get to experience. Given we were strained for time, he shared some fantastic local spots for buying chocolate (amazing), macaroons and gifts. He shared some unique highlights of the city that made us feel like we knew the city in a way that locals with children get to experience. My kids just loved it. He even acted out scenes for the kids to help explain historical events (he did a great impersonation of Napoleon) If we had more time in Paris, we would have done additional tours with him.
If you are in Paris in the future, we would highly recommend you becoming part of Martin's extended family & experience his fantastic adventures.

We signed up for a tour with Martin prior to our departure based on other reviews. We were 4 adults staying in Paris for 1 week (Hotel Monge). Martin met us at our Hotel in the a.m. and explained his philosophy and the itinerary for the day. He provides suggestions and is completely fine with specific places we wanted to see. As well as the usual iconic items that make Paris what it is, our day involved stops at specialty stores (bread, cheese, patisserie, champagne, chocolate, tea, et al). He is funny and VERY energetic. He is a lover of US pop culture which made for constant discussion and he appears to know everything about Paris. He relates the history to every location on the tour so you really get a feeling of place. We walked and/or Metro'd from the Latin quarter (our Hotel) to Montmartre via back streets and alleys. He is open to whatever your group is interested in, but we took his suggested itinerary and enjoyed every minute of it. It was a long day, but we really felt we had a much better sense of Paris after we parted with Martin at the end of the day. We plan to stay in touch with him, and he encourages contacting him at any time during your stay in Paris with any questions or requests you have (or assistance, if needed). If we go back (and we almost surely will), we would also like to try one of Martin's bike tours. We highly recommend Martin's tours.

I had googled several Paris tours for a long family weekend and I was drawn to Martin and Claudia’s website. They seemed friendly and eager to help us discover the city.
We signed up for a 4 hour custom walking tour the 2nd day of our trip. Martin met us at our hotel with everything we’d need...water, warm clothes and a custom map.
We hit the local haunts away from the tourists ( awesome!) and he pointed out local bakeries, chocolatiers, the best restaurants and the best local shops so that for the rest of our stay, we knew where to eat and to walk. Martin also takes pictures of you and your group and emails them to you later. Best of all, he’s always on call for your trip if you have any questions.
I highly recommend a tour. Visit their site. Ask questions. It’ll open up the city to you and you’re group in a way you wouldn’t expect.

Private ebike tour for our sisters and daughters trip was a highlight of the week. Martin showed us new spots and taught us fun history stories and brought us to favorite eclair and chocolate shop. Highly recommend especially doing the afternoon bike tour where we ended with riding along the Seine at sunset....magical. We were nervous about biking the big and busy streets but always felt safe and we mostly stayed off the busiest streets.

This was my second time on a tour with Martin, and it was just as awesome as the first! Your is tailored to your group and is suitable for all types of people. My husband and I did an ebike tour with Martin in November 2019. One of the highlights of our trip! This time I’m back in Paris with my 12 year old daughter and my 65 year old mom. The ebike tour was just as enjoyable! Highly recommend you do this at the beginning of your trip, as Martin provides detailed and comprehensive information about the layout of the city and gives you the info you need to be a Paris beast on your own for the rest of your stay!! Not to mention he is hilarious and super friendly. Stop looking around, and book with Martin!!

We had the BEST time with Martin last week in Paris! We did a private tour on eBike for 4 people. It was a hot day but Martin was very flexible and said we could start earlier in the day. It wasn't too hot anyway once you're in the breeze on the nice eBikes. It was so fun! We rode all over the city, saw the sights, and got the inside scoop on the best restaurants. My favorite things about Martin's tour were how he integrated history into it (he told fascinating tales about Napoleon and the various Louis kings) and how he customized it for us as we went. Shortly into the tour, he found out we were scientists and so for the rest of the tour he would call out science-related topics. That was pretty great. He is extremely high energy, lots of fun, and we felt we 100% got our money's worth and more. I can't wait to go back to Paris to visit more of the spots he recommended. Thank you, Martin!

This is our 2nd time to Paris and 2nd time on a walking tour with Martin. He is always so fun, full of historic, cultural, local, and (even US pop culture) knowledge and knows the ins and the outs of the city... he's always able to show us new and fascinating things. I highly recommend doing this at the beginning of your trip and save some time and space to go to his recommendations - they've all been fantastic.

Our family of four with two teenage boys had an amazing time on Martin's e-bike tour of Paris! What an incredible way to see the city. I can't believe how much ground we covered. Martin stopped along the way to give us background and history on the sights we were seeing. We also stopped for chocolate, crepes, and ice cream, as well as Paris' sparkling water fountains. Martin also gave us a map we could use for the rest of our stay with all the different areas highlighted and marked. I would highly recommend it as a fun way to see the city, especially with teenagers.

The Jackson Family had a walking tour with Martin on July 30th right at the start of our ten day Paris holiday. Straight away Martin put us at ease with great humour and an overview of our day. He’d already checked in with us beforehand and knew we were interested in places to find great food and interesting places to visit beyond the normal tourist traps, and for the next five hours we had a superb introduction to Paris! Every step of the way he told us a mix of history, insight, tips for revisiting locations (speedier entrances into the Louvre!) and the best places for everything from macaroons to crepes, chocolates and cooking utensils! He knew we were visiting Sacre-Coeur so emailed a list of other sites to also see and eat in Montmartre as we didn't have time to go there too in the five hours (the Wall of Love, Une Glace a Paris & Georges Larnicol!). Most of all Martin says he wanted to leave us feeling like ‘Beasts of Paris’ and that he did with great success! For the rest of the holiday even our teenagers had a confidence with where they were and how to get where they wanted to be, and his extensive supportive notes ensured we were able to have guidance about where we might go through our stay - almost as if he was there with us throughout! If we revisit Paris we know we can contact him should we need further information or support, and this is, we feel, amazing ongoing customer service. We would unreservedly recommend Martin’s tour, he’s a fantastic guide!
