The extraordinary recreation of the great sculptor, this is a beautiful little museum reflecting the exact wish and will of the great Constantin Brancusi, the initiator of the modern sculpture movement. He donated his entire work place and all his insede works of to the French State subject to being reconstructed and displayed in the position they were displayed duting his life. The arhitect Renzo Piano did a great job so the studio is an amazing place which, on top of everything, is free of charge to visit. The amazing sculptures you see in all modern art museums in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, etc can be seen here as displayed by Brancusi himself in his studio.

Situated right next to Centre Pompidou, this wondeful display of works done by Constantin Brancusi, the famous romanian sculptor, is a must visit if you are in the area. The place is relatively small but there are plenty to see so I recommend you take a tour, you won't regret it.

Brancusi Atelier is the first thing I wanted to visit in Paris. I'm Romanian and seeing his work anytime is an emotional experience for me. Renzo Piano created this space to replicate the original space but with more space to visit and enjoy Brancusi work.

L' Atelier Brancusi is a free attraction next to Centre Pompidou and a very good side attraction for anyone with an interest in Brancusi or art/sculptures in general. Opening hours are 2-6pm daily (closed Tuesdays).

Here you find a recreation of Roman sculptor Constantin Brancusi's studio and workshop upon the time of his death in 1957. There are numerous sculptures on display including several renditions of his famous 'Bird In Space' sculpture, amongst numerous other provocative an intriguing works to view and enjoy.

There was also an interesting Mihal Olos exhibition being held at the time of our visit. We enjoyed the artworks being displayed, finding them to complement the Brancusi works nicely.

We were quite pleased with our return visit to L' Atelier Brancusi. This is a very good complement to visits to Centre Pompidou, especially with the attraction being free to visit.

We found a Brancusi sculpture at Pompidou, but his most famous work is not in Paris - it's still displayed in his native town in Romania (Targu Jiu). This recreation of his workshop in Paris is therefore a valuable destination for anybody who is a Branacusi fan, as it's the best place in Paris where you can see early 'drafts' of his Endless Column and other well known works.

You also get a good feeling of his work process and even get to feel like you know the man behind the sculptures a bit better. I only wish you could walk around his workshop, amongst his works, rather than just look at it from behind a glass.

For some it may be worth because its quick and free but this is not what this place is about. Its not even about his works because none of the major ones are here. Its about where he spent most of his life and where his creations came to life. It's an honour that a Romanian artist is venerated so much in a place such as Paris and that they build a place just to honour his atelier, his works, his whole life. It was a pleasure to visit.

This unexpected, spacious gallery housing a collection of the sculptures of the Hungarian expat Brancusi is located next to the Pompidou Centre and despite its size can easily be overlooked: it's well worth 30 minutes of your time though as it's free admission, cool and quiet. It seems relatively few visitos realise it's there and that it's free.

The museum is open afternoons only (at least in Winter) and is free. It is a reconstruction of Brancusi's studio (atelier) complete with many of his sculptures which were in the early 20th century revolutionary. If you are into 20thC art history it's a must - allow at least 40 minutes. It's at the front of the Pompidou centre.

The recreation of Brancusi's studio gives an insight into his work, his working method and the working life of a modernist sculptor in a beautifully presented showcase. Apparently visitors used to be able to roam amongst the exhibits, but now, quite understandably for a highly visited, free museum, they are all behind glass.

he visited once US, and his sculptures were so unusual, so modern that the guys from Customs said he actually intends to pass the border with metals without paying the taxes, there were unable to see the sculptures
he offered his "atelier" to Romania, but the communist government declined the offer, saying that his work is not art, beeing too decadent
just two moments which explain why his sculptures are so modern, even now, after one century; to that moment, they were beyond their times

finally he left all his works to France, where he worked for decades, with a single condition - to maintain all the pieces, exactly how he left them, in the same positions, each one related to the other
it's so nice to see so many masterpieces, all together, in the same place, to see his working place
a must to see, definitely
