If you live in Germany, you must experience a German soccer match. You can buy tickets at the Ramstein Community Center. All the tickets are in a "Family" section at the stadium. Still a great view, but away from some of the rowdier fans.

Take your family. I have taken my kids and wife several times and everyone loves to go.

There is a lot of food at the stadium. You give your money to an attendant by the doors in front of the food courts and they give you a card with credit on it that you actually use to purchase your brat, fries and coke if you so choose. Make sure and turn your card in on your way out to get your change back.

The stadium is completely covered, so no rain worries, but it can get cold in the winter.

Have fun!

So far, I have been to five different football stadiums in Germany and Fritz Walter Stadion is definitely one of the best. The seats are close to the action (read: no track or gaping space between the seats and the pitch), the WestCurve is full of roudy, loyal fans, and the pitch is in excellent condition. It is a fantastic place to watch a football game.

My friends and I loved our time at this game! We were just on the edge of nose-bleed and the next pricier section. The opposing fans lit off road flares and the hometeam was on their feet the whole time. I would not recommend sitting in the "Fan" section your first visit (if one even can w/o season passes).
They have a credit card system of buying food and drinks. You pay a deposit for the card and pre-load it at one of the cashiers. The vendors don't take 'real money' only the card. The shuttle bus service from various points in Kaiserslautern is easy to use and free if you have tickets for the game.
If you are on the north (?) side of the stadium, there is a great view of the city from the restaurant area.
we are all looking forward to going again!

Attended a derby game between Kaiserslautern and Mannheim and it was a next level experience. Considering they play in the third division, the quality of football and the fans was better than that of my home league the A-League. Great views and flags provided at the stadium, food and drinks weren't entirely a rort. Short walk from the stadium.

Great stadium and great games. We sat in the family section which was quiet, yet still fun. We got cheaper tickets in Ramstein at the community center. Next time we would like to sit in the other section. Much more roudy. The give tours as well.

Even though we are stuck in the second league, the West-Kurve still rocks every game! This stadium is unique in many ways.... one interesting fact is that the five world cup matches played in the stadium in 2006 made Kaiserslautern the smallest city every to host a world cup match! If you are going to the stadium for the first time I recommend 2 options, either sit in the Nord-Tribune so you can watch the West-Tribune sing 'You'll never walk alone' and 'Super Super FCK' with every flag flying and scarf held high while still being part of the cheering or option #2, stand in the West-Tribune and be fully immersed in the action. East side isn't terribly but your closest to the away fans and the south is for the boring and rich. Also - Arrive at least 20 minutes ahead of time so you don't miss the pre-game singing and fan-fare

great views from anywhere in the stadium especially mid-field. the corners can get obstructed by the fans, but otherwise, a good experience.

If the national team is stopping by the Fritz Walter, you must go! FCK home games are also a great time. We saw the German national team, Borussia Dortmund stopped by for a friendly, and multiple FCK games. Every time there was an amazing crowd atmosphere.

If you’re ever in town to catch a game, we’ll worth the experience. 1FCK has some great fans and the whole town turns into a tailgate party. Highly recommend.

Good food...so so beer...reasonably priced concessions. Private viewing areas are way too expensive though.
