The area

Neighborhood: El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.

After seeing all the people skateboarding on the coast line, I and my wife wanted to try it badly. I found deviant bikes via Google, and contacted Rich. He was super friendly and brought the longboards to our hotel and also picked them up next day. We had never used a skateboard before, but it was really easy to grasp it with the longboard. Definitely worth trying.

A fantastic aesthetically pleasing single speed that purred along beautifully with not a single rattle!! Great value and fantastic, friendly service from a top Yorkshireman!! Puts all other rental bikes firmly in their place! The best way to see Barcelona!!

Conveniently located, friendly service, great options and reasonable prices!
My fiance and I rented longboards from their shop located at the edge of the historic Gotic district and had the most enjoyable time of our entire two week vacation skating down and around the beach. Being just a couple blocks from the Arc de Triomf, we got to try out the rubber on the smooth and spacious mall right away.
We would definitely recommend renting longboards in Barcelona from Deviant Bikes.

Rich and his wife are two amazing people, great customer service skills are demonstrated through prompt online responses, great communication in person, and a well oiled business that allows for flexibility of the common global traveler passing through Barcelona. My brother Sean and I saw all of the awesome long-boarders, and skateboarders throughout the city (Barcelona is the 3rd highest ranked city for skating), and decided needed to rent a few to explore the city heights, neighborhoods, and beaches! We had so much fun on top-quality Land Yacthz boards the first few days we extended our rental! We charged down the hills of Tididabo.. TWICE!!! Crazy skate, know your turns well, the neighborhoods of Gracia, Sants, Hebron, charging down Diagonal, Las Ramblas, Arc de Triomphe are all awesome rides, ESPECIALLY if you ride at late-night, you have the streets and hills to yourself! Couldn't recommended this business more, Rich even loaned us a wrench to tighten and loosen the trucks! Have fun with a nice skate or bike ride in Barcelona!

We rented a fixed and a single-speed in Deviant Bikes for two days. Bikes were brand new (out of the box) so the ride with them was super smooth and fun. Rich was very helpful and attentive when we visited their cozy shop. More than that, he was very flexible to accommodate our times to pick up and drop of the bikes.
In Barcelona you can find dozens of bike rentals shops, but if you care about service and bike in good condition, I highly recommend Deviant Bikes. See you next time guys!

We hired two bikes for one day and it was brilliant. I really enjoyed the quality of my bike, which makes a huge difference when you are out and about, and trying to make the most of your day. I recommend this place if you are looking for a good bike to hire, and don't want to be faffing around with a rubbish bike and a sore bottom!

We visited Barcelona for a short holiday in April 2010. My 10 year old son recently got in skate boarding. Rented a board for a day at much less cost than I expected. Easy rental process.

My sister and I spent 5 nights in Barcelona last week, I roller skate and she longboards - but we couldn’t fit her board into the suitcase to bring with us! Saw the reviews for this place and figured we would try it out. So glad we did! The staff were really friendly and helpful, let her pick her own board (fair few to choose from) all we had to do was leave some ID as a deposit (drivers license in her case) and pay when we returned. I think we had it for 3 days, and it worked out cheaper than her having to pay extra on the flight there and back if she brought her own. We were staying in Marbella beach, so the cruise to Las Ramblas was really nice. The shop has beautiful bikes too, next time we might try one of those!

Did some research before I arrived, and chose Deviant to hire a couple of bikes from for a day.
We wanted one with gears, and a single speed for me. The service from them was absolutely brilliant. Very friendly, extreamly knowledgable on the area. Gave good advice and ideas on where to ride, and what to do. They even gave advice on places to explore in the evening for dinner!

We took all their advice and suggestions, and saw parts of Barcelona that we would otherwise have missed completely.

I went back on day 2 to hire a single bike again for a couple of hours, and received exactly the same service and advice, and had a super ride out to the Olympic park.

I would not hesitate to use them again, and recommend them to anybody who is visiting the city and wants to hire some bikes to explore it.
