Johannes(the guide) is really knowledgeable person who knows the history of the place very well. The most interesting part is, Johannes is really good in story telling. You won’t get bored at all!
We took the ghost tour and it was remarkably the best tour that I ever had.

I didn't like guided tours. And besides that I was convinced that I knew Barcelona quite well.
So when my friend told me he liked to do this guided tour of Barcelona Dragon Tours I wasn't that enthousiastic. Well, it turned out that my ideas were rather stupid.
This tour was wonderful. First of all the guide was really a nice and friendly person, who could tell us very much about the city.
And we saw so many streets, alleys and buildings we never saw before. And everywhere so many beautiful and interesting details. Even in the streets I have been walking through so many times before. For me this tour was a great and wonderful experience.

Didn't go on a tour with this company since their English-speaking tour guide is temporarily out of action. Johannes let me know this and ended up pointing me to an alternative tour run by another company (which was fab). Astonishing customer service, if he treats his paying customers even half as well you'll have a great time!

Awesome walking tour at the Gothic Quarters and Ramblas. Our guide Johannes speaks excellent English and was so engaging. We were really intrigued with his story-telling flair and ability to keep our attention for the entire 3 hours. We would definitely recommend him to anyone who are interested to know the rich histories of Barcelona.

Finding Barcelona Dragon Tours was like hitting the jackpot. The masonic walking tour was an intriguing experience. And the ghost tour was very enjoyable. These tours were top-notch. Thanks a lot, Johannes. You are a great tour guide.

We highly recommend booking this tour. We love the quirky/sinister/weird/horrifying histories of places and Johannes did not disappoint! We walked all over the Gothic/ Raval/ El Born/ Le Call (I think those were the names) and he was so knowledgeable the time flew by! Great time, really glad we did it :D

My first time in Barcelona. Very lucky to find these tour guides. First we did the walking tour of the old city. It was really interesting. We had a great morning. And then my wife convinced me to do the laughing yoga tapas tour with lovely Chuss. We had a grand old time. Back to Australia now. Recommending these tours to everyone.

Getting a device obsessed 10 year old boy to walk a combined 6 +hours over two days (dragon and ghost tour) is a Herculean feat! I highly recommend a good pair of walking shoes and a solid nights sleep, leave the details to Johannes. He is so well researched and passionate about all things Catalonia that your cup shall overflow. Thumbs up from Asheville NC!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed Dragon Tours Barcelona Old Town and Modernism Walking Tour, not just because of what we saw but because of the wide knowledge, passion, energy, communication and humour of our multi-lingual, highly educated guide Johannes. The historic sights of Barcelona are not obvious, nor always as they seem, and it is hard to imagine a succesful self guided visit which is possible in many cities. The contrast between the Old Town and uniqueness of Barcelona Modernism is something few other cities can share with their visitors.

Great review - we've booked for next week and now I'm trying to locate the meeting point. Accorind to the map it is on 34 Las Ramblas, at the Frederic Soler statue? OR is it at the Drassanes metro station?
Just trying to plan.
Thanks

As a walking tour what is included and/or the difference in the two Gaudi tours you offer? Would it be okay to have an infant and toddler with us?

Barcelona Dragon Tours” offers a wide range of urban walking tours focusing on historical, art-historical, literary and cultural topics. We take in many points of interest and provide insight into traditions, culture and city life. The tours are entertaining and fun and not only for (art) history buffs.
When we started, we offered two different Gaudí tours, because we thought we could not fit all of Gaudí into three hours.
But now we offer only one Gaudí Tour. You find it under the Menu “Barcelona Classics”. (The webpage is being updated right now.)
About the tours:
In order to enable you to experience the hustle and bustle of the city first hand, we stick to the streets and squares. During our time together we mostly marvel at monuments from the outside. Visits of museums and interiors are (apart from a few exceptions) not part of the program.
Our walking tours last from three to four hours, depending on the topic.
They are public tours. You come to the meeting point and then set out to explore the city with a group of people. We like to allow you to explore the city without feeling rushed. There is always time to linger and to take pictures.
We would love to explore Gaudí with you. But, although our tours are leisurely walks, I am afraid our 4 hour Gaudí tour might be too strenuous for an infant and a toddler. The tour also includes two subway rides.
However, there is always the option of a private tour, which we could customize to your needs. (e.g. coffee breaks and taxi instead of subway)
You might also be interested in our “Drakcelona Dragons of Barcelona Tour” which is a leisurely 3 hour walk through a beautiful park and the gothic quarter.
We donate the money we earn with the “Drakcelona Dragons of Barcelona Tour” to the children’s charity “Fundación Ànima”, which makes the wishes of sick children come true.
Of the money you pay for the tour, the charity gets 100%.
Barcelona Dragon Tours publishes the receipt on Facebook.
And if you have a look at the Facebook site of “Fundación Ànima”, you can find out what wishes have been granted.

When I went to the website, it said tours in German. Are there english language tours from this company?
Johannes F
Barcelona, Spain
Hello,
yes, there are. We do offer a few tours in English as well. Just click on the American Flag in order to get to the English site. Then have a look at our calendar.
For example tomorrow (16th June) we do the "Barcelona Ghost Tour" at 9 pm, on Wednesday (17th June) we do the "Occult Barcelona, City of the Arcane" tour at 3 pm.

Is there free parking?
Johannes F
Barcelona, Spain
Hello,
Finding free parking in Barcelona is difficult, but thank God it is not "Mission Imposible"
But please bear in mind that free parking is not always safe parking.
There are many thieves in Barcelona.
The safest place for your car to be is inside a guarded parking lot.
If you decide to use free parking, do not leave your belongings in the car, especially if you leave the car there overnight.
During the week it is difficult to find a parking spot in the city center, but at weekends you can park for free (almost) everywhere in the city center.
Shopping Malls are a good alternative. For example “La Maquinista” has a huge subterrean parking, which is free. It closes at night, but outside you can park for free during the night.
Address: Calle Potosí, 2. 08030 Barcelona (Metro: L1 “Torras i Bages”).
Although there is almost no free parking in the city during the week, you can leave your car in the outskirts. Near Plaça de Pius XII (Avenida Diagonal/ Avenida de Pedralbes, metro L3 station “Maria Cristina” there are streets where you can park your car.
Another opition is “La Zona Universitaria” or Montjuic near Fundació Miro. Also in Poble Sec you might be lucky.
“Barcelona Dragon Tours” offers a wide range of urban walking tours focusing on historical, art-historical, literary and cultural topics. We take in many points of interest and provide great insight into traditions, culture and city life.
The various meeting points of our tours are easy to find: they are centrally located and always near a metro station.
You will recognize your guide easily: He or she is a friendly person holding a folder with our blue dragon depicted on it.
