About
Parma tour and Parma Food tour. A Parma Gourmet Tour will let you into the secrets of the producers of our famed Parmesan cheese, Parma ham, Culatello ham and traditional balsamic vinegar. I can point out the best places to visit local dairies, factories and farms and to taste all the different specialities. A visit to Parmigiano Reggiano dairy to discover the way Parmesan cheese is produced is an experience you simply must have once in your life.

We joined the private food tour with Elisabetta and there is no regret. She has wonderful relationship with the owners so we have the freedom to smell the Parma ham inside the ageing room, witness the whole cheese manufacturing process, and visit the private traditional balsamic vinegar cellar. Her service is friendly and very knowledgeable. Next time when I visit Parma I will ask Elisabetta for a tour around the castles.

Elizabetta was an absolutely amazing tour guide! She responded very quickly to all my inquiries and she was super knowledgeable and passionate about her home town. I was traveling with my partner and elderly parents. Her English was perfect - she spoke clear enough for my father in law who is hard of hearing to understand her very well. He seemed to hear her better than me!Maybe it was because she was so interesting! Thank you, Elisabetta, for a great memory of Parma' s cheese and prosciutto.

A person of rare perspicacity, who has dedicated herself to explaining the unique beauty of Italian culture. Her enthusiasm finds an equal only in her knowledge.

We took a great tour of a parmigiana reggiano factory and a prosciutto di parma factory with Elisabetta, and it was one of the highlights of our honeymoon. at first we weren't sure if a guide would be necessary for something like this, but once you get to the factories you realize you really can't get in without one. Elisabetta is so patient and knowledgeable and she has great relationships with the purveyors. She even connected us with a balsamic vinegar purveyor to visit separately on our way back. The tour pricing was very fair too, if you are comparing options. Thank you, Elisabetta!

One of the most accommodating tours ever. We scheduled the tour at the last minute. Elisabetta was great. Her knowledge of Parma hams and cheese was super. Returning in October for another tour.

Since we already had taken a food tour, we decided to take the pasta making class with Luisa (and Elisabetta translating). The class (the four of us) was held in Luisa's home which gave us a great opportunity to see an Italian apartment. We couldn't have been happier. It was a fun, educational experience that certainly put my previous pasta making efforts to shame (KitchenAid). We learned that the pasta must "cry" to be done and the proper way to make tortelli. We all then sat down and ate the results. Really a lovely evening and we can't wait to try our new skills at home.

Betti (which I still call Elisabetta) was a marvelous guide for the 3 medium size factories that we visited. The first was a parmigiana reggiano factory........watching Carlo's hands while he feels just the right time to work the cheese, cool the cheese and continue doing a time tradition process is an amazing thing to watch........the smells, the sights the sounds WOW!..........then the balsamic vinegar tour, with Alessandra leading the way in pride and process in naming some barrels after her sons.........a feminist in a traditional business.........and then the prosciutto.......fabulous to see the wonders and taste unlike any we can every have in New York..........not even Arthur Avenue........Elisabetta was knowledgeable and full of information not only about food, but a Parma native and filled with pride for her region and all that Italy has to offer.

Elisabetta is an excellent guide! Very knowledgeable and her english makes it very easy to communicate with her. Make sure to take a camera it's a must. The tour was of small family run businesses (artisans) far more intimate than the larger producers. I would highly recommend Elisabetta.

We arrived in Parma on the afternoon, looking for a tour the next day - having neglected to consider that the places we would like to visit are out side the town. Elisabetta at 4 pm, was able to organize a morning tour of cheese making, and Parma ham curing, giving us an entertaining and informative view of the region. Highly recommended!

My wife and I are visiting Italy in September 2019 and would like to schedule a cheese, ham and balsamic vinegar tour for Friday, September 19, 2019. Is it too late to schedule one, and if it isn't too late how do I schedule it and how much does it cost? What time and where does the tour start? We will have our own car.
I miss-typed. We are interested in the tour on Friday, September 20, 2019.

Ciao, Elisabetta,
I am a travel agent in Canada taking a group to Italy in September of 2017. We are interested in a food tour of Parma. ( cheese, prosciutto and aceto balsamic) How much in advance should we book? Perhaps as many as 8 people.
Do you have your own website? Grazie, Karen LeRose.

Hello!
Would you happen to be available on Monday 23/11/15 for a food tour? I'll be meeting my colleagues tomorrow evening in NYC to ask them if they would like to do this so I would not know a final answer until Sunday afternoon your time. However, if you are available it would be great! Thank you!
