When in Rimini, I somehow had never cross the Tiber Bridge (ponte di Tiberio)!! I did this year and discovered the lovely Borgo di San Giuliano, 3 or 4 streets which used to be a fishermen's village and have now been repainted and restored to show off their colorful (if not always tasteful) fronts. Definitely worth a walk around, good opportunity for some nice photos and a spot of cheap and cheerful lunch in the vicinity. You also get a different view of the Tiber Bridge if you walk down to the edge of the river - apparently in the summer they hold regular concerts there so make sure you check the city events programme if you are in the vicinity.

You can easily spend 3 to 4 hours starting at the harbour after the end of the beach, passing the beautiful lighthouse, walking along the river, crossing the Tiberius Bridge, visiting the great green city park nearby and of course intensively enjoying Borgo San Giuliano. This neigbourhood is an absolute must. It is small in size but long to explore! It hosts beautiful houses but especially astonishing frescoes you will never forget! Most of them are tributes to Fellini and Cinecittà. Gorgeous!

This area seems to be a bit hyped on account of the murals and frescos dotted around the streets. In fact there are probably less than twenty : some are very faded and not particularly tasteful either. Some of the cottages are pretty enough and there are steps leading down to the river affording a good view of the Roman Bridge. The church is a bit gloomy and is closed at lunchtime.

This is the place where I've been living for many years: if in Rimini, it's worthwhile a visit. You can have a break and taste some 'piadina and Sangiovese wine' or a cocktail in one of the various cafès or wine bars, have a nice night stroll through the town centre and enjoy a good organic ice-cream near San Giuliano church.

If you come on holiday in Rimini, you can not miss the old Borgo SanGiuliano. Starting from the Tiberius Bridge to the end of the port, a walk through history, street art and the sea. Recommended

This neighborhood, on the northern side of Ponte di Tiberio, is full of small cobbled streets and many good restaurants. However, the most striking thing of this Borgo is the murals that adorn the houses and businesses of the district.
