The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.

The Piccolo Teatro Milano (actually, comprising THREE theaters in down town Milan ) is an absolute MUST DO in the city of fashion. This is one of the best places for culture, entertainment, joy, and simple fun. Wonderful prices if you shop only for tickets. Extraordinary shows, be it classical theater or contemporary things, modern music or Shakespeare, you name it. You must try this whenever you're in Milan. Does not matter at all whether you speak of not Italian. The shows are so good, you wouldn't even care. But of course, if you do understand Italian, you will LOVE this place. I would do all the season !

Such a beautiful time here in the Studio. This Renzo Piano design makes for a beautiful warm space & the staff of the Piccolo are some of the best in the business. I think the artistic programme is if really high quality & their buildings are gorgeous. Go see things here, you won't regret it!

Forge Scala and visit one of the sites of the famous Piccolo Teatro! We had the chance to hear and see Giordano Bruno by Francesco Filidei on Nov 7. It was one of the best performances we have ever seen. Nice and yound audiance! The only downside: some of the visitors used their smartphones during the presentation...

Went to the Cinderella ballet, shown by La Scala Academic ballet school. We were very impressed, and Russians are very demanding when it comes to ballet. Amazing show and costumes.

Nice place to walk when going to Castelo Sforzesco, but all closed in August. The streets in this region are beautiful and peaciful, with no commerce.
