The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.

Here we watched the courtyard, where Leonardo cared for his vineyard. The garden itself seemed not very well-kept, sometimes abandoned. The house and its interesting halls inside deserves more attention.

An absolutely stunning property, inside and out. The audio guide (app download and take your own headphones) was great as it allowed you to take in each area in your own time and really appreciate the beauty at your own pace. The history of the building and the vineyard are very interesting. The only downside for me is that I got bitten loads here - I was covered in angry, itchy bites when we left and had to go find antihistamines so I’d recommend bug repellent!

It's hard to rate this attraction. The vineyard itself is nothing to speak of other than it was gifted to Leonardo while he worked on the Last Supper across the street. It is just a few vines in reality.....nothing of real substance. The Casa Degli Atellani is fabulous. It is a snapshot of a glamorous Milanese lifestyle. The courtyard is stunning and the interiors are stunning.I wouldn't pay just to see the vineyard but the house is wonderful.Aparently you can stay in one of the appartments here. When I win the lottery it will be high on list.

It’s a good insight to the history, but the vineyard is bare in winter which takes the edge off what you may see. The rooms before it are full of history but there’s not an awful lot to see. This is included on the Milan Card so worth a visit.

This is advertised as leonardo's vineyard which he created where he lived when in Milan. In reality it is a visit to someone else's house, quite nice but nothing to do with Leonardo.
Leonardo used to have a house here but it was destroyed centuries ago. Yes leonardo did own a vineyard in this area but the one shown was planted certainly in the last 50 years by the size of the vines.

I have written many reviews of our time in Italy. They have almost all been positive, making me wonder if I was just being too nice...then we got to this place.
The name is exciting. It's across the street (literally) from the church housing the Last Supper. Leonardo DaVinci lived here, as he was given a vineyard as part of his payment. Okay, awesome...we will walk around Leonardo's house! And see his vineyard!
Only thing is, the audio tour is of the updated house, and the family having it much later. The grounds were redone. The vineyard are the same types of grapes Leonardo had replanted.
Once I saw a comedian hold up an ax, and he said, "This is George Washington's ax! I just replaced the handle, and the blade." That's what this felt like.
Sure, if you like history, it would be a nice few minutes, but pricey for a short visit.
The best part: a stray cat followed us around as we toured, getting on the furniture in the display rooms, and just hanging out. The guide, who was really more like a security guard in a shop, said he didn't have a name, so we figure, since he seemed to own the place, his name was Leonardo.
That's the thing I remember most about this place.
That should tell you something.

Even if you have plenty of time in Milan, skip this place and do not regret for a single moment having done so. The house itself is a residential building, with the "museum" taking up a tiny part of it. The ticket cost 10 euro. For that money you will see two small courtyards, two refurbished, relatively modern rooms and a garden. The original garden was much bigger and was completely destroyed in the course of time. The audio guide was pretty honest in explaining that... So if you expect:
"New ways to discover Leonardo’s Vineyard!
Enter Leonardo da Vinci’s world, discover his passions and the traces that these have left in the city of Milan, bla, bla, bla...."
you will get none of the above here.
All in all, a wonderful example of a classical tourist trap.

Museum staff were rude didn't even want to acknowledge us when we walked in. They made us explain ourselves unnecessarily which tickets we wanted only for them to tell us tickets to everything were sold out. Walked out and heard another gentleman complain about their 'terrible attitude' as well and me and my husband smiled to each other in agreement lmaoo
