Being a garden lover, I appreciated the visit very much. But given the reputation and rop-10 must-sees in Taormina I admit that I was slightly disappointed.
The gardens are beautiful, true, and it was a welcome break from the bustle of main street Taormina. However, it was also a little underwhelming considering the hype.

These gardens were very nice and relaxed with some interesting buildings reminded me of Barcelona. The view was excellent , great to st in and have your lunch and relax from the tour, were down some winding streets so use google maps or map to get there. Some cheap drink and food shops near buy.

We were wandering around Taormina exploring the town when we came across this beautiful park. It's is rather spacious and it has got lots of big fanciful trees that give you shelter from the boiling sun. It was very relaxing to take a long walk there. The foot paths are easy to stroll along and there is one that goes along the very edge of a steep rock with amazing bird's eye view over the sea. It’s worth coming here indeed.

Walking down from the Ancient Theatre on the 'Goethe's Path' I came upon the Public Gardens, named after a politician and minister of noble Sicilian origin. But in fact it is the creation of an eccentric English lady, Florence Trevelyan, who had settled here in the late 19th century and who married the local mayor. There is a bust of her in the park.
There are a lot of trees, typical of the Mediterranean like cypresses, pines, olive trees, but also several of tropical origin. What strikes one most though are the 'Victorian Follies', bizarre constructions of no purpose, in different styles and with any kind of material possible.
One will also find a pond with goldfish, a monument to soldiers of WW I, a torpedo of an Italian battleship, a children's playground. Great are the views in a southerly direction towards the coast. The 'Giardino Pubblico' is open daily from 8am till sunset.

Was recommended here by our Airbnb host. Just walked down the hill after visiting the Greek theatre. Excellent place to stroll and get away from the busy tourist center of Taormina.

Wonderfully frivolous park laid out by an Englishwoman. Trees that will shade, structures to marvel at and entertain you, and even parrots. Super views along the coast.

Taormina ain’t cheap, so if you want a cheap feed with great views, you could do a lot worse then head to the little supermarket on Via Bagnoli Croci (where they make paninis while you wait at reasonable prices and sell cold cans of beer too) and then head from here over the road to this place, grab a bench and get stuck in while drinking in the view

The park has great views of the bay and across to Etna. There are also a number of quaint buildings and a small menagerie with parrots and other exotic birds. It is a tranquil and cool place for a stroll during the day.

This garden is a must see while in Taormina!
Created by Florence Trevelyan, some time in the late 1800's, it has native and exotic plants beautifully placed. But her "follies", (playful buildings made of sticks, stones, etc.), are still there to be enjoyed. Don't let the huge, screeching parrots (caged) take you by surprise, as they can get pretty loud! The views of Giardini Naxos and Mt. Etna are unrivaled! A very beautiful place to stroll, or just relax and take it all in.
