Poor quality and service. The steel balls on the shoe are actually glued on. So two balls have lost after I just weared for two days. I took the shoes back to the shop for repairing and have not been contacted for more than a month. One day I received a call and been told that they will order two balls, but I have to pay 250 AUD for them. If I don’t pay, they won’t repair it. However, after four months, I have not receive any further information and they refused to return the shoes back to me. I will never buy any other things of this brand again. Not only because of the poor quality,but also because that its products have no warranty for such a higher price. Acutually, you can buy gucci or lV shoes at the same price. I am very disappoint of their customer service.

I only buy Ferragamo from the boutiques. Have an ongoing relationship with one of their SF boutiques in my area. Staff are willing to call me up for high quality limited editions.

Despite all the bashing going on about the quality, may be it is luck, My oldest pair of Ferragamo shoes is 15 years old. Apart from a few frays - it is still useable. My oldest wallet was about 20 years old before I had to discard it due to irreparable damage. My oldest bag from them is 12 years old and still look spanking new.

Only once that I had trouble with SF goods purchased at a distributor, rather than the boutique. Same case with other luxury brands. But oh hey, if you want it cheaper instead of boutique prices, then that’s the risk.

Do not buy online as Ferragamo does not handle returns or respect the rights of buyers. Generally ignored correspondence and arrogant attitude. The company is not directed to solve the problem and does not return the money and does not provide additional investigation upon request. Very bad service

Bought a pair of beautiful trainers. Used them a few times only! I noticed they are badly broke! I like in the UK so they've been sent to Italy for service. They said there's nothing that they can do because it's silk. Excuse me I used this trainers a few times only, I didn't buy them to put them in a museum. What on Earth? And this is the way I'm being looked after? No problem. I'll make you famous for the way you look after your customers. Disgusted!!!!

When I planned my trip to Florence I knew I had to make a stop at this iconic location for this fashion house. I was not disappointed. I wish I had more time, and a bigger budget, with all the beautifully crafted leather goods. Seriously luxury leather goods. Always a treat!!

We bought a Ferragamo wallet at the HK airport store. I later found that there's defect in workmanship of the wallet. The logo was not aligned and the front flap was not aligned either.
I sent a note to the online store asking for help to get this wallet exchange. I only get a response saying it has been sent to the appropriate department and have not heard from Ferragamo since then. I sent a follow-up note and still no response.
I am usually satisfied from other Ferregamo product. However, I am extremely upset at this purchase. First of all, I paid a premium for this wallet, at a duty free shop, this wallet sold for 3300 HK$. It is only $350 + tax, $395.5 CAD from the Canada site.
Even worst is that the wallet was on sales for $280 while I was waiting to hear back from Ferragamo.

I urge any prospective buyer to pay attention to your purchase if you have to buy from Ferregamo.

This review is about product failure, dishonesty and questionable practices at Salvatore Ferragamo in San Francisco (store in Union Square) and San Diego (at Neiman Marcus), and how their managers tried to cheat me as a customer, perhaps at the direction of S. Ferragamo higher-level managers.

I purchased a leather article from Salvatore Ferragamo (at Neiman Marcus in San Diego, California) at a very high price and used it in the most normal manner for a few years. However, the leather on this article was very quickly worn out and discolored and the metal piece started to flake off (shocking!) and lost its luster and nice appearance. I took the article to both shops, which shocked the store managers and they both told me that this should not have happened even after 10 years of use, and that it clearly was a product failure!!!!

First WARNING: Don't be fooled by Salvatore Ferragamo's misleading appearance and its highly inflated prices. Salvatore Ferragamo does produce sub-standard, faulty items, and is far from an honest and reliable luxury brand. And definitely a failure at customer service!

Finding it hard to believe? Read on!

The Salvatore Ferragamo clerk in San Diego (at Neiman Marcus), upon examining the piece, very quickly washed his hands off any kind of commitment regarding their products and started giving me the names of metal plating workshops around San Diego that mechanics use for plating car metal parts so I can get the Salvatore Ferragamo metal piece re-plated!!!!!! Just imagine buying a luxury item and being told to take it to an industrial shop to have it re-plated!!!! This is Salvatore Ferragamo's class of business and customer care!!!!!

I then proceeded to taking my article to their flagship store in San Francisco. They told me that Salvatore Ferragamo stands behind its products, and agreed to send the piece to their repair shop and get it repaired and re-polished. I waited for more than 2 months, only to receive the article in a disgusting shape with no repair and no explanation!!!! The manager at this store promised to have this article fixed and I even was forced to provide my CC number so they can charge me for fixing THEIR faulty article!!!!!!!!!! I agreed because I did not want my initial investment to go to waste, but never expected such coercion! In my opinion, this is bordering daytime robbery under the guise of a high-end brand that clearly does not care about its products' durability and its customers. They simply do NOT stand behind their products, despite the hype by which they try to fool people.

Shoppers BEWARE: Salvatore Ferragamo can sell you faulty products and coerce you to pay out of your pocket to have THEIR overpriced, faulty products fixed! I call this a a dishonest and disgusting practice! Salvatore Ferragamo and its incompetent store managers in their San Francisco shop should be ashamed of their low-class and disingenuous practice!

My daughter bought a pair of Varina ballet flat shoes from Salvatore Ferragamo. After the very first wear, in an air conditioned office, the front toe of the shoe frayed !! We took it to the Ferragamo store with the receipt and was told they would send the shoe for assessment to their store in HongKong and then let us know in two weeks. Three weeks passed and when we contacted them, they said it was a wear and tear issue and could not replace the shoes! Should this have happened after one wear???? And from such expensive shoes??? She has been wearing other shoes from other top brands and not one of them has frayed like this. Shame on Ferragamo and shame on their shoddy customer service. I am now reading similar complaints from others about their customer service. Needless to say, we shall not be buying their products again.

Purchased a bracelet and my mom accidentally got oil on the tiny shopping bag it was put in. I went back for another bag and not only I was told that they can't give me a replacement shopping bag unless I brought my receipt to show proof of purchase, but the salesman I asked went and got his manager, who came at me as if he was a security guard, ready to interrogate/arrest me, as if I had done something wrong. I'm going to bring him my receipt AND a few extra bags from a friend who works at another Ferragamo location, and tell him where he can shove them! SHAME ON YOU! You'll pay 5th Avenue rents and expect top dollar for sales, but you won't replace a 50 cent bag!!!!!!! Absurd!!!

The right heel of my 2-year old pair of Ferragamo shoes snapped while I was walking in them, and the company is just not taking any responsibility. Btw I am not a heavy person at 57kg, and these shoes were not regularly used. I believe there was a defect in this shoe.

I had bought these shoes in Florence but live in Singapore, so I first went to the shop at The Paragon to try and get them repaired. The store manager used every excuse in the book not to help me - from 'you need a receipt' to 'you've lined the sole with a non-skid layer and that negates any warranty' etc, and just couldn't wait for me to leave the shop. Wrote to their customer service at their corporate headquarters twice and did not get any reply.

I've worn Ferragamos for the last 20+ years and this is the first time I've needed after sales service - and I'm appalled that this is the level of service Ferragamo offers. And this is clearly a case of a defective product that they are trying to walk away from. Shame on you Ferragamo. Even Kmart provides better after-sales service than you!
