One of the doors to enter in Óbidos. What a lovely surprise! Richly decorated in honor of the Virgin Mary. I recomend walking around the village to find more of these beautiful secrets.

This beautiful Azulejos tile work is secluded in the portico of the lower town gate.
You cannot miss it when walking up the parking lot entering the village.

The beautiful blue and white tiles welcome you to Obidos. The same color scheme is seen throughout Obidos and Portugal, in general. Gives different meaning to labor intensive.

You enter the town through this gate. It's well worth slowing down to look at it more closely. When we went through there were two young men singing and playing music.

A 1380 construction! Heavy history in this place! Strollers are common but not so easy to walk through the village due to stones streets and lot of stairs.
