About
As citizens of Braga (bracarenses) we knew that tourism was well-developed in the North of Portugal, a region that boasts centuries of cultural heritage from Roman times and which is still cherished today. Also called Bracara Augusta, City of Archbishops or Capital of Baroque the importance of historical events can still be seen today in Braga. The Braga identity is present everywhere and can be observed in the streets, squares and buildings, but also in Braga's traditions, festivities and gastronomy. We are committed to innovation and we strive to boost tourism in Braga, going one step further. by proposing unique and attractive tours that are hand-picked after careful mapping of the best Braga has to offer. We believe the result is simply amazing: you will discover the city in a fun and green way with professional advice from a local guide. You will visit more, pay less and with less effort. 100% fun and 0% CO2! Without losing sight of its origins, Braga Tours started a new project in 2015, seeking to broaden its business. Braga is located in a region of unique beauty and rich traditions and heritage that we would like you to discover by offering you a series of tours. Let's discover this treasure of Northern Portugal together.

Braga considered to be, by many visitors, as a traditional city. after visiting there I can join myself to this definition, it is swarms with tens of churches, cathedrals and religious spots.

Braga is also a very nice combination of "new" and "old" architecture and culture. One can stroll the streets for hours in a very pleasant atmosphere. The main walking streets is full with many gift and coffee shops as well as churches and cathedrals.

It definitely worth a day visit.

I can recommend a walking tour along the main city center street, during which one can visit the cathedral and museum located right in the middle of the street.

The streets are decorated and very well maintained. There is a local sightseeing train for getting the general atmosphere of the city.

If one is staying in Porto, it is recommended taking the train to Braga for 90 minutes ride.

While in Braga, it is recommended also paying a visit to "BOM JESUS" (Good Jesus) church, which is a breathtaking architecture and view in the city. One can reach the church , using the local bus service that are available at the old city center or at the train station.

Braga is a beautiful, beautiful city full of history, joy and youth. So it is completly worth it to visit it.
I am from Braga so I already knew every single spot that we visited in the city with the segways, but I can tell you that in this way it was much more fun and less tiring. In 2h by segway you get the chance to visit most of the historical and interesting buldings, monuments, streets that the city has to offer you.
The tour guide Jorge is very professional, and he really knows what he is talking about. He explains you what you really need to know about the city, about the monument and he knows how to win your attention.
The segway is very, very easy to drive, so in a questions of minutes you´ll get the hang of it, no matter how old you are!
I highly recomend it!!!!!!

First of all I made a TripAdvisor account just to write this review. We just finished about 30 minutes ago and it exceeded my wife and I's expectations . Jorge Vilela was amazing!!! He is so knowledgeable and has so much passion that it made the tour a fantastic one. This has been the best tour we have taken so far in the month we have been in Portugal and out of the dozen cities we have visited. I highly recommend this tour for a couple like us who want to not only learn and see all historic areas of Braga, but to also taste Braga. What a fantastic experience. Thank you Braga Tours, and thank you so much Jorge!!

If you are in Braga, I highly recommend that you contact Jorge for a city tour. He does Segway tours of the city, but we did a 3 hour walking tour with him, as we were looking for a bit more exercise after driving most of the morning.

Jorge is a charming young renaissance man who had done more in his young life than most can fit in a full lifetime. His knowledge and love of Braga are very clear, and well shared. He gave us wonderful feel for the town and its history. The tour (only EU12 per person) does not include admission to the churches or museums that have separate charges. In our view that was a plus; we could not have covered as much of the city as we did in that time if we had gone into each of the various churches and museums. In this way, with a general understanding of what could be seen in each, and where they were located, we had the ability to return to spend more time at our leisure in those that appealed to us.

As we were spending a day driving through the nearby national park, Jorge was able to give us some tips and show us places to see on our map that I am sure we would have missed otherwise, that made that day in the park much better than it would have been had we relied just on the guide books.

I very highly recommend Jorge and this tour. The company is Jorge, so if you book the tour you will have his company.

During our stay in Porto my Wife and I set up a one day trip to Guimaraes and Braga heritage sites. The tour picked us up at our hotel (intercontinental) and took us on a magical trip. The tour including the mini bus transportation took about 9 hours. but, was well worth it. (80 euros). The two towns are a must see when in Porto, We had time to relax and wander along the town alleys and ancient walls puncuated with the guides historical antidotes. We even had an opportunity to have out photos taken holding a live eagle. In Braga we had a gourmet lunch which was included in the tour fee was excellent. I believe one needs at least a few hours in each town to relax and absorbe the outstanding souroundings. Our guide was Susana at www.livingtours.pt

Last winter, we toured with Jorge around Braga and the neighboring towns. He has a deep understanding of the culture and history in this area, fluently speaks English and was able to accommodate our group of 9 including some kids. He arranged the days to meet our needs and expectations. We wish Jorge and the team at Braga tours the best and you would be lucky to spend time with him and learn about the rich heritage of this area.

Braga Tours organised the tour from our choir in October this year and I must admit; I have never experienced something like this before. The way Jorge and Ana organised and planned everything for our group, the enthousiasm that they had during our visit and everything they were able to arrange for us, it was highly impressive. We were with a large choir and also, a group of followers. All together, we were with nearly 60 persons that were scheduled for 2 different programs during the week. Everything turned out perfect. We visited Braga, Guimaraes, Viana and Porto, with every time a new, challenging program. Next to the concerts of our choir, the Bavo Cantorij, from the Netherlands, Braga Tours organised a lot of other activities, for both the choir members as the followers. We have had an amazing week and if you would ever consider to visit this area, Braga Tours will make the difference for you. I would certainly recommend this organisation to everyone I know!

After using Tripadvisor many times, this experience finally prompted me to join and write a review! I booked a solo half-day walking tour with Jorge when I visited Braga for a conference. I had never visited Portugal before and Jorge was absolutely full of information and was able to answer all my questions. He was very friendly, and the three hours walking around the city was very enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Always wanted to try a Segway. Braga Tours and Jorge are the place to begin! There was a Roman festival ramping up in Braga (unfortunately, we could not stay for the weekend activities) so Jorge had to reroute our Segway tour to avoid the congestion. We did not miss a thing! And the Segways were so easy to maneuver. In our sixties and seventies we felt very comfortable and safe aboard. Jorge took excellent care of us! Do it!
