As we are trying to visit most lighthouses in Denmark this had to be done. Unfortunately our trip was in pouring rain so we didn't get the best views. There is a golf course around the lighthouse and it costs 20 kroners to go up the tower. Toilets also available at 2 kr.

Great views from the top of the tower. The access is quite narrow and stairs are steep. You pay a small amount on MobilePay, bit for tourists is might be difficult. There is no control of the payments.

This was the first time we visited the Lighthouse in 3 trips and we were very pleased we did (finally).

We chose to walk from Soby (about 5km each way) which made for a great little walk on a lovely sunny day.

On arrival the lighthouse is easy to locate although the doors are very narrow!

It offers great views and once we had visited we headed to the cobble beach which we used for a picnic. Beautiful views and very peaceful sitting listening to the water lap against the stoney beach.

Worth the trip

You can enter the lighthouse and climb to the top where you have a fantastic view over the golf course and the "Sydfynske Øhav".
You can also take a walk down to the beach (stonebeach).

This lighthouse gives a nice view of the sea surrounding the North Coast of Ærø. You almost feel you are on the sea! And the golf course as well. The lighthouse itself is nothing special though. Visit it if you are there.
