About
(Temporarily Closed) Small groups. Smart guides. Great fun. We offer professional small-group and private tours. We don't believe in huge groups, chasing after a guide waving after an umbrella. Our tours are different. We limit our small group tours to eight participants, to make sure that everyone can ask questions and interact with the guide. Our guides are knowledgable, friendly and approachable. Every tour is different and your questions are what keep things interesting. Most of all, we love Prague, and we are deighted to be able to share it with you.

We did the tour to the Prague Castle at night as a group of 5 and it was fantastic. The group is only small with 8 people and the tour guide Adam was very knowledgeable about all the history of Prague and the castles inhabitants over the years.

Doing the tour of night meant it was less crowded and felt like we had the place mostly to ourselves.

The castle and cathedral inside the castle walls were just amazing, though we did not get the opportunity to go inside the cathedral the fact it was not crowded was well worth it.

You will catch the tram to the castle which you can purchase the tram tickets from the guide, but will walk back down after the tour near Charles Bridge where the tour will end.

Highly recommended doing the tour with this tour company.

This is one of the best tours that we have ever taken. Marcus did a fantastic job with bringing the history of Prague to life . He shared amazing (and interesting) stories and really made the tour fun as well as educational. Our only complaint is that they don't have this tour options in another capitals.

We did the Prague Castle at night as well as their historical tour. Both were great as they did not overlap. They were wonderful ways to learn more about Prague history. Highly recommend doing both, however maybe not on the same day.

We would do this tour again in a heartbeat. We loved how small this tour was especially when seeing the large group tours with at least 20 + people. We could hear everything spoken and have have an intimate discussion. Marcus spent time with each of us to find out what we were interested in doing outside of the tour and then he gave specific recommendations and directions on how to achieve each goal.

We truly felt sorry for the people who chose a larger tour.

We recommend wearing comfortable shoes and preparing to spend a lot of time walking and standing. Again. both tours were completely worth it and we will do them again when we come back to Prague

Marcus and Dan were fascinating. They provided a thorough and nuanced insight into the complicated historical narratives of the Czech Republic. This is the best tour I have been on ,their map is excellent and their suggestions on travel and highlights invaluable. Don’t let the name of the tour put you off . All the reviews are spot on.

What a relief to avoid the throngs of tourists on the crowded Charles Bridge. Informative and enjoyable tour with extras such as suggestions on restaurants and places to go. Marcus was very knowledgeable about the history of Prague and the Czech Republic. Highly recommend this tour.

If you want a Real tour of Prague with a very small group and a very knowledgeable guide, this company is for you. Our guide today for a a group of four was Imogen, a specialist in Central European history who works at Charles University. Her grasp of the complicated European and Czech history was amazing, and she was able to communicate it in an interesting and comprehensible way. I don’t think there was a single question she couldn’t answer. She can tell you just about anything concerning wars, revolts, economics, religious conflicts, social mores, literature, the arts and architecture, current political issues, and more. Do you want to be in a huge group of people and strain to hear and understand what the guide is saying, or do you want to walk slowly over the whole city and converse with someone who has studied history and can converse with you? This is an over four hour tour with a cafe break in between. Be sure to wear comfortable sneakers or hiking boots and be prepared to climb steps.

We toured the most visited sites in Prague in away that 1) avoided the crowds of thousands and 2) allowed us to have an intimate, private dialogue with a guide steeped in the history of Prague in order to learn about and fully digest the amazing things we were seeing. We chose The Naked Tour Guide. While they were fully dressed, the tour guides share the naked, unvarnished truth with you in deep conversations where we were welcomed as visitors, not tourists. Imogen Dw, was our personal historian and muse.

Our first tour with Imogen was an early morning visit to Prague’s world famous Astrological Clock, Charles Bridge and Jewish Quarter (which has an interesting but sad history). Our second tour was the magical Prague Castle at night. If you want personal attention and deep knowledge without all the crowds, contact The Naked Tours Guide.

My mother and I visited Prague last week. We were visiting from Ireland and had seen some wonderful reviews on this tour. I booked the castle night tour on our first night and the historical tour at 11 the following day.
We met Imogen at 9 on the first tour and she was warm, welcoming, passionate and extremely knowledgable. The tour took us around the castle and surrounding areas. It was so beautiful. We took a tram which was v helpful as we could then navigate the tram system with ease during our visit.
Imogen told us all we needed to know about the castle and we really felt like we knew a lot more about Prague even after a few hours.
We went for a beer after our visit to a local bar where she took the time to tell us best places to eat and also how to get to the other Prague castle on the tram system.
We met on the next morning at 11 for the second tour which took about 3.5 hrs. We thoroughly enjoyed this too and found the whole experience invaluable... The restaurants Imogen suggested were spot on.
I can't speak highly enough of the tours and would recommend anyone visiting Prague to try them.
Looking forward to my next visit already!

We chose The Naked Tour Guide because of the fantastic reviews we read here at tripadvisor.
The booking was easy and Marcus - the guide and founder of this business - was on time and easy to find, even though he wasn't naked.

Marcus, joint by his assistant Ivan, was friendly, personable and so knowledgeable - we enjoyed his sense of humour and the way he brought his own, sometimes critical comments into the tales of history. We were only 4 people on this tour. Apart from ourselves there was a wonderful American couple and we all had a great day.

These tour guides are no ordinary tour guides. They are academic historians giving you a private tour of Prague - they don't allow more than eight people to a goup. But Marcus is not only a historian who can give you all the details about history and will answer all the questions you may have. In addition to that he is a business man who works very hard to keep his customers happy. He looks out for all opportunities to help you to make your stay in Prague more pleasant - a lot of information about the city, restaurants, transportation, whatever you would like to know. If he cannot give you the exact answer immediately, you will get it by mail within a few hours.
So this is a great way to start your visit of Prague. It is a 3 h tour - but if you really want to have a great experience and the weather is fine join him for a beer (or two or three) at a local beer garden afterwards. We had so much fun with Marcus, the Americans and Ivan ( still a student on our tour, who has become a tour guide himself as we saw in the comments by John L.)

Bring your camera, Marcus will show you the best places to take pictures. Bring an umbrella, just to be on the safe side.

There are only a few Tours/Guides that allow just a small group for each tour like Marcus - of course you can earn more money if you allow 20, 30, 40 or more people on your tour. Compare the prices and you will see "The Naked Tour Guide" has a reasonable fee.
One word of caution: "Free" tours, that you will see advertised a lot, are not free, the guides also have to make a living and do expect a tip.

You will see these large groups everywere - and you will be grateful if you picked the right tour guide!

In summary, we found the comments at tripadvisor about "The Naked Tour Guide" very reliable and I am glad I followed this advice.
This is the reason why I wrote my first tripadviser report today. I hope it will help you as much as the reports I read here.

Dear Reinhard and Karin, Thank you for taking the time to write this review. Every review counts and it really is appreciated. It was my pleasure to meet you both and to relax with you afterwards in the beer garden. I'm glad that you enjoyed the tour so much and I look forward to welcoming you to Prague again in future. Regards Marcus

My Mum and I had the pleasure of experiencing Marcus’ tour with another couple. It was the non-good highlight of our trip and we have no hesitation in recommending this tour. We had a couple of days and this tour was the perfect way to get a sense of the city. Marcus has fantastic, comprehensive knowledge of Prague from a number of perspectives and is skilled at bringing information to life. He was patient with our questions and able to tailor the tour. His explanation of the astronomical clock is excellent and consideration ofJewish history is sensitively shared. He was also very generous with his time and gave great insight into modern and evolving traditions. Marcus gave great recommendations of things to do to enjoy our time in Prague and get away from the regular tourist traps. Get up early and enjoy a great start to your day.

My wife and I only had a very limited time in Prague and when I stumbled upon Naked Tours Prague, I knew it was something we must check out. I'm glad we did!

We did the Bright and Early Morning Tour and the Castle Night Tour... and had a great experience with Marcus and the tours!

Marcus met us in front of the Astronomical Clock at 8 am when all the tourists thought that the clock "did a thing" at that hour. It doesn't start the "thing" until 9 am. His knowledge of the clock, Charles Bridge (and when to visit it), and all the different sections of the town was very comprehensive and so insightful. He showed us and the only other patron on the tour about how to use the public transit system, and I know it saved us money and made us feel like locals, for a day or two. He answered questions and gave recommendations after the tour as well about how to leave the touristy areas and explore different neighborhoods of the city (which we did).

We met up with Marcus again in the evening for the Night Castle Tour. There was a travel agency and a videographer that would be joining the tour and he asked if it would be alright to be on film, which we were more than welcome to allow. We were technically the only two on the tour, and it was awesome. Marcus' knowledge of the history and all the sites was a great way to cap our time in Prague.

I highly recommend these tours to anyone with limited time and knowledge of the Czech Republic and wants to get to know Prague with a friend, rather than a tour group of twenty plus people. I know we have a new friend in Prague when we come back, who speaks English and Czech!
