It's nothing related to any Bethlehem region or culture, although the internal decorations are inspiring. It's a place associated with the lectures of Jan Hus.

Finding this chapel is half the fun. It’s in a courtyard behind a large wooden door leading from the street. It was locked when I visited so could only appreciate it from the outside. It’s surrounded by new apartments. Quite the juxtaposition.

Betlemska Kaple is a beautiful chapel that we chanced on as we were wandering around this part of town.
Although this is a modern reconstruction built in the 1950's it is an accurate representation of the original 14th century chapel were the reformist Jan Hus preached and is most definitely well worth checking out.

We just had typical czech food and pork chops. Everything was very nice, but not spectacular.
The place is tidy and with a lot of wood cosy, but not special.
Service was good.
I would not make detours to get there, but if you happen to be close by, it is a good place for lunch or dinner.

Do not go to Prague and miss out on the Betlemska Kaple!! Better than any other church in Prague easily. The amazing architecture blew us away and the serenity was like nothing I've ever felt. A really really special place. So unique and authentic. MUST SEE!
