Be very careful who you buy minibus tickets to. They want to sell tickets to foreigners, probably charging more (200THB for Ban Phe) and tell you the bus leaves ay 8.... when in fact it left at 8h30 and another same.bus left at 8... So don't stop at the woman calling when you arrive, pass the tickets booth and go check directly at the bus area the next one leaving and ask a local for the price they paid, they will sell you the ticket in that bus anyway. Pictures attached of the one I used to avoid next time . Hope that helps 🙏

It's a bus terminal! With lots of booths selling tickets for buses throughout Thailand. We used it for the 999 government bus from Bangkok to the ferry for Koh Chang. In fact we went a day early but there was only one seat left for the best 7.45 AM bus the following day. So we bought tickets for the 9.30 Trat bus and from Trat a shared taxi was waiting to take us to the ferry. Took a bit longer but it all worked out. We also bought the return leg for the 999 bus back when we were at Ekamai, a good move. It allowed us to enjoy Koh Chang without the worry about our return journey.

Tried to catch the bus from Pattaya back to Ekkamai
The woman at the counter was so rude and insisted that I pay for an extra seat for my carry on size suitcase.
I had no problem bringing this same suitcase from Ekkamai to Pattaya, but she saw a foreigner and an opportunity to make some more money.
So, she gave me a take it or leave it option.
I left it.

There was a Thai lady who came after me with a large check in size suitcase. She was charged one ticket.

Not cool
Will never use this company. T TOUR, again

I have to say I was quite surprised. Clean, well laid out, nice and simple. I expected chaos. I went to any counter for a bus to Pattaya and was lucky to get one straight away. They do depart quite frequently in any case. I paid and got a cheap ticket. Someone got my bag, put it on the minivan and off we went on time. The minivan ride was another thing. I spent most of the journey praying as the driving was so bad! The van was clean but small. Not spacious but comfortable for a short two and a half hour ride.

It's easy enough to use. On your left you buy tickets for buses. On your right for minibuses. Destinations are printed above the counters. They all understand English to a point. Ask for the seating diagram. Tell them the seat you want. Otherwise all westerners are put at the back or next to the toilets. Your seat number and departure bay number are printed on your ticket. Parking bays are at the rear. WARNING. If you are arriving at this terminal and have bought some valium. Then be warned the police sit there waiting for westerners. They will go through your bags. Find your valium. Anything over 10 can cost you up to 20,000 baht fine. Depending on how much you have. More for a little bit of weed. They catch dozens every day.

Me and my friend wanted to go to Pattaya. We were not having any idea on how to go. Suddenly we thought of traveling to Pattaya in Bus.The Bus fare is 191 THB per person. We boared the Bus from Ekamai Bus Terminal to Pattaya, it took 2.5hrs to reach our destination. From Pattaya Bus Stop you may book a bike or car to your desired location. All Buses are AC so need to work for outside temperature.

It was really easy to buy a bus ticket at this station. The fare was 108 THB. Bus came on time and journey took about 2 hours. The bus was clean, non-smoking and driver did his job well.

When you arrive at Ekkamai bus station, you will see multiple booths selling bus tickets and mini van rides to Pattaya. I took a mini van because they offer a direct to hotel ride for a slightly higher price (150 bahts). But here is what I experienced. They will claim a van departs every 15 minutes, but do not trust that. They will leave when the van is full, so I ended up waiting for half an hour. There are other annoying things in between, but the second big problem is I showed them my hotel address in Pattaya, and the driver has no idea where it is. This is in spite of the hotel being pretty central and close to Pattaya beach. The driver dropped me off at some random place along Beach Road, and I had to walk 15 minutes to the hotel

Taking a bus from Bangkok airport to Pattaya is very simple option. The bus hub on the 1st floor is well organised and easy to navigate. Staff very friendly and buses comfortable. Departures are frequent so no need for advanced booking.

Excellent service at 119B each way. Regular buses so just turn up. Allocated seat, air con, about 2.25 hours each way. Songtaews are at the other end waiting to ferry you on to your hotel for 50B. Perfect!
