    Super fun, arrive hungry
What a fabulous morning spent with a delightful chef. Chef Vu is both charming & talented. We came into this class with little to no culinary skills and had a lovely time learning some knife skills with the very patient Chef Vu. We were taught how to roll our own spring rolls, make the infamous Vietnamese fish sauce & much more. We had a great time smashing garlic and onions. We did the cooking lesson as part of a package trip that included a 30 minute cyclo tour around the city that was also great fun with wonderful guides and then a market tour to purchase the ingredients which I found a bit uncomfortable and could’ve lived without but the rest of the package made up for it. It was an early morning class so we weren’t really hungry enough to eat all the lovely food we prepared but the staff kindly packaged it up for takeaway whilst we enjoyed an egg coffee and got presented with the most adorable certificate of participation from the chef.

    Delightful half day cooking session
It was a great half-day cooking session. The session started with a 30-minute cyclo ride. The cyclo riders took us all around HCM city and stopped at a few popular landmarks for photo taking. We then met up with a tour guide at the Ben Tanh market. We followed him around the wet market as he shopped for the cooking session. He then walked us to the restaurant where the cooking session took place. We cooked 4 lovely dishes including some prawn spring rolls, a Vietnamese pancake, a papaya salad, and a bowl of chicken pho. Chef Vu was very clear with his demonstrations and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Everyone had a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.

    Brilliant!
Outstanding experience from beginning to end. Lovely ride to meet Vi at the markets where she showed us how to shop and ran through the menu. Then a short walk with Vi and the fresh produce to Chef Vu - he and his team were brilliant, showed us step by step and explained clearly each ingredient so we understood. An utterly outstanding experience and meal (so full we were given the leftovers to take with us) and the recipes are already in my email. Don’t miss this!!!!

    Super cool classes!
The good experience started right at the beginning on the cyclo vehicle! The classes were very nice. Apart from showing us how to cook Vietnamese dishes, the chef demonstrated a few general techniques for cutting veggies, which was very cool. We ate a bit in the meantime (spring rolls we made), so it was great not to eat everything at the end at once because there was a lot of food. We cooked individually, so we could adjust spices to our own preferences. Everything in the classes looked well-organized; there was a girl helping the chef with cleaning, so cooking was very smooth. I am really happy with these classes and would recommend them to everyone :)

Cooking class with the wonderful chef Vu. Great way to dive into the culture and meet the locals of the beautiful city.
Hubby and I had an amazing experience. We were picked up from hotel and went through the local market to source ingredients. Then we were taken to restaurant to cook food. We were taught by chef VU. He was amazing and spoke English well, which helped in understanding what to do. Absolutely 10/10 experience and loved every moment. Recommend for couples and families. It was an absolute honour of an experience.

excellent cooking class for Vietnamese food
Top marks for Chef Vu's cooking class! I recommend very highly. Cyclo ride to the market was ok; market itself was interesting. Nice young woman leading the tour, but hard to understand her English. The cooking class however was fabulous, really enjoyed it. Chef Vu is great instructor, very easy to understand, picked a fine set of tasty dishes for us to prepare, and organized everything perfectly. Chef's team took care of all the less interesting stuff (mis en place, chopping garlic etc) and we got to do the interesting/fun stuff. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed!

We made several dishes with professionalism & fun. A lot of enjoyment learning new skills & enjoying new foods.
This was an amazing cooking experience with Chef Vu. Everything was taught well & planned to precision. We were kept busy the whole time. Plenty of food to try & eat & great thought into providing for me as a celiac.

Excellent way to make your own lunch
Great way to spend the morning , making your own delicious lunch. Chef Vu was more than we could have expected, really knew his stuff, fun and tough at the same time. Location and cooking area tailor made for small groups. Only 4 of us today and our new Seattle friends were a delight. Australians- book you will love it.

Chef Vu and staff were very fun and taught us a lot!
The cooking class with Chef Vu was a great way to spend the afternoon. He was very entertaining and obviously a skilled chef. They asked us what we would like to cook and then chose 3 different dishes that fit into our requested menu. Chef Vu was very patient with us as we tried mastering the different chopping, smashing and slicing techniques during food prep. He explained why we were doing things at particular temperatures and why we grilled the meats in two stages. I would recommend this class to anyone who loves Vietnamese food and wants to be able to make their favorite dishes at home.

My fiancé and I did Chef Vu’s class and loved the experience. Chef Vu was very kind and helpful and he has a great sense of humor about him. It was cool to experience the market to explore the ingredients. I loved the food we made, the pumpkin flower spring rolls were my favourite! Chef Vu even helped me out when I had trouble making a tomato into a rose for decoration. I would recommend this course to anyone looking to explore Vietnamese food!

Had a fantastic experience - best thing was the ability to pick and choose the 4 dishes that you want to cook from a list of 12 or so.

Chef was entertaining and polite it was a pleasure.

Loved the food we made and ate ourselves (:

Great morning with Chef Vu. A quick trip to the market followed by a hands on cooking class. We made fried spring rolls, sautéed morning glory, pancake with pork and shrimp, and pork ribs. Pleasant and clean upstairs location for the class and to enjoy the results and a finishing egg coffee. Recipes were emailed after the class😊
