Small but very informative, especially if you are interested in the last days of German Königsberg.

Historical place related to the II World War. A lot of information which could be interesting for those who likes history, especially military events.

This museum chronicles the final battle for Konigsberg (Kaliningrad) in early 1945. The displays are informative and the visit is enhanced since the underground bunker itself played an important role in the battle.

I visited this museum in February. No guide was taken.
As most of provincial museums in Russia this one seems hardly to have changed since its initial opening. Explanations are mostly in Russian, staff does not speak any foreign language at all. There are audio guides available there, however, at least in English.
I wouldn't call it an example of eminent museum culture - mannequins, old photos, artefacts, a model of 1945 Königsberg on fire and in ruins, some soundtracks playing from time to time. Traditional, nothing extraordinary.
My feeling was that its exposition was focused on local younger generation mostly, with the purpose of its patriotic education but without much thinking of foreign visitors. Still, the museum might be interesting for those eager to know more about Russian view concerning those events (history is written by victors, after all).
Better take someone speaking both Russian and English with you but do take care of finding such a guy in advance.

A very impressive exhibition, we did not use the audio guide, but could still feel the atmosphere, the interactive questionnaire at the end has taken all the attention of my son, aged 9.

We stumbled into the place (as it was a rainy day) but found a very interesting exhibition which took us way back in history!

It isn't super easy to find this museum, especially as the entrance is at ground level and goes down. The museum is small, but nice. Each room is set up to show a different aspect of the siege of the city, as well as the people involved.

A very interesting museum but unfortunately it is almost entirely in Russian. If you know your history you can still understand what it is and the fact it is in the original place brings authenticity to it. Recommended. (Bring some German and English translations and it will be great.)
