We booked the full day tour and were fortunate to have Ken Hill as our guide. One plus, you depart from their office in Naples and get driven to the Everglades. Our first stop involved an airboat excursion through the mangroves to see bird and other wildlife and to let the airboat driver do some high speed runs and twists and turns for excitement. Next stop was lunch in Everglades City before a second boat excursion into the Thousand Islands area of the Everglades Park. Aside from pelicans and other birds, we cavorted with some dolphins who decided to play around our boat. The next to last stop was at something billed as "not a zoo but a wildlife rescue park." Well, it was kind of more a zoo. There was an alligator show. You know the kind. And several pens with gators and other critters with little explanation as to why they were there. Most unsettling was a pen with a Siberian Tiger. In the Everglades? Come on! (We were told this facility was the only one willing to take it from its owner in Oklahoma (!) who gave it up.) Could have done without this stop. Final stop, though, was billed as the smallest post office in the U.S. It was tiny. But for a buck you could buy a card with stamp and postmark. Why not? All in all, a really good tour and Ken the guide was the best.

Can’t say enough about Kenny Hill as our guide/driver. He made the trip as knowledgeable about so much and narrated from pick up to excursion to return. Truth be told his part was probably better than actual airboat ride—-airboat was fun just not as much as expected—told as we got there not going to see gators—as not a lot of rain so too salty for them. No swamp or grasslands as that is different kind of airboat—so only mangroves which were interesting but after 15 min got old—for price would choose something else. 5 out 5 for Kenny Hill —3 out of 5 for airboat ride.

What an amazing adventure!! Meet up was very simple in front of the JW Marriott - park across the street for free if you’re not staying at the hotel. Our tour guide Connie was full of energy the second she stepped off the bus! She told us all about Florida’s history and fun facts the entire trip. We started with an airboat ride and it was a blast! Captain Brown was hilarious and shared so many details about the Everglades. We saw raccoons (trash pandas), alligators, dolphins, and a ton of birds and fish. After that we went to Wooten’s Animal Sanctuary & Alligator Park where we got to see Charlie (alligator) put on a show with his awesome handler, DJ! Other animals they saved were spread out around the park so we also saw turtles, lions, tigers, and otters. Plus, I got to hold three baby alligators!!! On the return trip to Marco Island, Connie stopped at the Ochopee Post Office. It’s the smallest operating post office in the US; it’s literally a shed! It was a fun trip from start to finish and we would recommend it to anyone - couples and families - looking for a unique way to see the Everglades!

We loved the airboat ride, which was the first part of the tour. Our boat captain was super funny, and it’s just fascinating to fly along the canals and mangrove tunnels in an open air boat. It’s too bad that the boats are so noisy but that isn’t the tour’s fault. No alligators this time of year, as the water is too salty, but we did see an adorable family of raccoons. I wish that the ride had been longer. The rest of the tour was just so-so. I didn’t really care for the animal sanctuary; It was basically like any zoo but with zero frills. And the visit to the “worlds smallest post office” was silly. Our tour guide, Connie, was very nice, patient with everyone, and a good sport. She tried extra hard to talk everything up.

This tour was the highlight of our weeklong trip to Naples. All family members agreed. From the airboat ride from Everglades city to the boat ride around Thousand Island, everything flowed sermless, thanks to Kenny. He was a true ambassador for the area. We particularly enjoyed lunch stop at City Seafood, where we enjoyed the first harvest of stonecrab claws at rock bottom price. I highly recommend full day tour!

Our guide was the best in the business...Kenny knew it all, extremely informative and dealt with all the kinks and hassles, turned disappointments into opportunities when we couldn't at first see any manatees in their expected locations along the drive.

The only downside (not his fault) was a rather crowded and very short alligator "show" if you could call it that at Wooten's Everglades Airboat Tours and wildlife sanctuary. I found the noise from the airboats nearby the be very annoying and figure that the rescued alligators, crocodiles, tigers (there is pair of them, Siberian) as well as turtles, etc. would be super stressed.

If you go with NT&T tours, insist on Kenny as your guide!

Half day tour, this is a great way to see the highlights of the Everglades from Naples. The tour office is conveniently located close to 5th Avenue and Tin City. From there it's a narrated air conditioned coach ride to Everglades city where the driver highlights some of the more interesting history, people, and buildings. Next it's the air boat tour, is exhilarating! The airboat captains like to show off their skill but noticing there were no seatbelts I wasn't too concerned. Don't worry about the noise, headsets with microphones are furnished so you can hear all about the Everglades. We saw the smallest post office in the U.S., and there is time to mail a post card if you like. They ran out of postcards the day I went but our driver/tour guide, Gerard, offered to go back and mail one if an address was left. Then we went to see an alligator show where they also have lions, a tiger, an otter, and more. The show was informative and fun and there is an opportunity to hold a small alligator. On the way back to Naples Gerard told us of restaurants in the area and food trucks in a nearby park. You may not experience the activities in the same order, Gerard changed it up to avoid crowds at the alligator show. There is plenty more to see but this was a great way to see the highlights.

Half-day tour was a lot of fun! Kenny (tour driver) was full of knowledge that added to the experience. Our trip included an airboat ride (which only went through the maze of mangrove trees, and not out into the open flat lands of the everglades, BUT the ride through the maze of trees was awesome and we did get to see 2 alligators and a manatee), lunch at a local restaurant in Everglades City, a quick roundabout on-bus tour of Everglades City (narrated by Kenny), and a stop at a local wildlife refuge (which was a bit Tiger King-ish, but my son (age 9) got to hold an alligator, and the souvenir shop was just what we were looking for to commemorate our excursion). We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We had a great time on the Everglades Excursion. Connie our guide was great!!!
We started in downtown Naples and on the way to the everglades she told about
the area. The airboat ride was fun, through the mangroves and around. Afterwards,
we went into Everglades City and again Connie told about the city and pointed out historical sights. After a visit to the animal sanctuary and holding a baby alligator we headed back to Naples.
It was a fun and informative half day. I would highly recommend it!!

We took the half day Everglades tour which involved an air boat trip through the mangroves ( saw a 10 foot alligator!)and a visit to Wooten’s Animal Preserve. Our tour guide Kenny Hill gave great commentary throughout the entire trip... tons of interesting facts & funny stories. He stopped at City Seafood for lunch, accompanied us into the preserve and gave us continued commentary throughout the exhibits. Over all a great day of adventure with Everglades Excursions!
