Good clean pub. Varied drink choice, as much as they can fit behind a small bar. Limited seating inside and out, outside is just a court yard on a main road, not suitable for young people to play. More of a grown ups pub. No dogs. Good for the right audience like me.

A warm welcome and great beer, which is varied and very well kept. Roger is what I call a proper landlord.

As a Traveller from Australia i would certainly NOT recommend this pub at all, if you are a local you're fine otherwise you are ignored, not even acknowledged, too clicky and unfriendly but I found a great place not far from this pub called The Olde Mint. Totally different atmosphere, people friendly, hospitable and you are not left feeling like an outsider. Unfortunately The Olde Mint is not on TripAdvisor otherwise I would've given them a five star review.

Nice beer, nice locals. Nice boozer. It's exactly what it says on the tin. It's not that big but that doesn't matter.

Proper drinking pub with great selection of real ales. Staff friendly and helpful. Bar area clean, tidy and welcoming. Beer served at right temperature and a choice of 6 + ales. Purely a drinking pub without food - pretty rare these days.

No food, no fuss, no nonsense. Saturday lunchtime big crusty baguettes of cheese and onion or ham salad (meal on their own) £2.50. They don't cater here { French bread rolls done from a proper kitchen elsewhere and shipped in ... when gone they're gone} as it's a real old proper boozer but tastefully done ... you'd take the Mrs! CERTAINLY! Nicely decorated and comfortable. Toilets VERY clean.
AMAZING range of Ales via Marstons; Ringwood (Old Thumper kept beautifully), Jennings, Banks and Hobgoblin' ++++.... something for everyone. When you visit, there'll always be a beer you'll like. Flaming good job any numpty from CAMRA hasn't found it else it'd be mobbed with bearded weirdos looking for a free beer and and having "just the half" to try it.
Pool table, dart board and 3 screens with Sky and BT and if you don't want footie, the Rugby will be on, or golf, tennis or 3 different or nothing! The people are all "Good Ole' Boys" they use the jukebox too @ 5 for £1.00.
A great mix of Agricultural, Business, Local and Pukker customers, reflecting the Landlords high esteem in the area. Evening youngsters EXTREMELY well behaved ....

Always nice to drop in for a beer while the food is being cooked up at China Hall. Julie and Roger are lovely people but want to retire, so if anyone is interested in buying a freehold pub, drop in and see them.
