Corte is a lovely small Corsican town with many attractions to offer. Among the best ones, there is the Belvedere. Should you ever go to Corte, do go there, no matter the weather :) !

You have to climb a few stairs to get to this scenic viewpoint. We recommend you visit toward the end of the day, as the sun sets lower in the sky, when the light and shadows really enhance the views. Make sure you have your smartphone, camera, iPad, etc. because you're going to want to take photos, a few selfies, and make all your Snapchat buddies jealous.

Somewhat steep walk (it was 38-39 degrees), but still quite easily doable, getting to the point with the best view of the Citadelle.

This is pretty much the top attraction in the town of Corte. It's where many of the pictures representing the town are taken. You get the view of the Citadel precariously perched on a cliff looking like it might slide off. The view of it is better than the view within the Citadel which you can get by gaining entrance to the Corsican Museum which was created inside the Citadel.

The views from the Citadel are better as it is higher up - but you have to pay for a ticket to enter. There was no particular need to have done both. You get mostly the same views from a slightly different vantage point.

This is not just a view over the countryside but the perfect angle to capture the dramatic effect of the citadel perched high on the rock face. It’s well worth the time to walk there and it’s not a difficult walk from the city centre. Great for a photo of the iconic citadel.

The Belvedere is easy to reach from the old town of Corte. When the weather is clear you have a great view. The stairs are not too difficult. Besides some souvenir shops there is nothing on the top.

Well worth the climb to get fabulous panoramic views over Corte - and it's free, Situated near to the Citadelle and Musee de La Corse.

You've got to get up there. You'll enjoy a 360 degree view of Corte! The view of the citadelle is probably the best in Corte.

The whole town is pretty amazing, but the Belvedere gives you the best view. Also it is free!. Has a couple of cafes and shops. Not accessible for less mobile.
