It is a stunning church in the middle of Reguengos. Enjoy the outside, the inside is disappointing -

Dominates the town centre the church gets reasonable reviews from Portuguese speaking visitors. True the inside is plain but it deserves a good rating for its imposing exterior.

This is a very simple and unassuming church located in the center of town.

The inside (ie: walls, ceiling, pillars) has been painted entirely white-washed. In certain areas where the paint has peeled, or been chipped-off, you can see pink marble stone. The side chapels are empty, the main alter is void of any significant beauty.

During medieval times, when a town anticipated being invaded they sometimes would paint the inside of their church white, to preserve the paintings, & decorations underneath. When the treat was over, they would remove the paint and restore the church to its previous grandeur. I think that this is what's happened here.

In its current state, this church has no significant beauty of value to offer.
