We visited the museos because of the reviews. I highly doubt we would have gone otherwise and turned up there without high expectations but it was very much worth the visit.
We spent several hours looking at the very extensive collection of bones that Leentje and Luc have on display. The kids, who are at the age when they tend to groan when we tell them we're off to do something cultural, enjoyed it as much as we did.
The welcome is warm and friendly, the collection is varied and fascinating both across species and across time with bones dating back to the ice age. The collection is a lot larger than I would have expected from a museum I'd never heard about despite being Belgian. I particularly appreciate the less "obvious" bones that constitute the cabinet of curiosities and the ones that show disease since you see this even less frequently.
The museum is privately owned so doesn't benefit from subsidies. It relies solely on the entrance fee and donations as far as I've understood so please go, discover a really cool place and help the couple continue their dream.

A sublime collection created by a passionate and super cool couple. Two thumbs up, even if you're not into bones and stuff this is amazing. One must be a special person (some might say a bit loony) to create this as a private person with no subsidies or any form of support. Three cheers!
