It's really a wonderful place surrounded with forest. We went there two days in the row. On the first day we had the Nortern Lights safari. So me and my girlfriend we got a snowmobile just for two of us and we were following our guide Marko who was riding his snowmobile in front of us. The sky was sealed with clouds en we had no chance to see the aurora borealis, but this trip was amazing! We did about 60 km. and drove through the forest and over the hills in complete darkness and snow falling from the skies, lightning our way with the headlights of our snowmobiles! It's been a real adventure for us. We loved it!
And so the next day we came again for the reindeer safari. Visa , - was the name of our guide. A man with a great sense of humor and an encridible storyteller. After introducing us to his reindeers and them to us, he told us to take our places in a sled and we moved out to the forest. A forest completely covered with snow, so silent and still... And only voice of Visa was time after time breaking the silence... He was singing an old finnish song while leading us along the snowy path in de woods...
Thank you guys! It was an unforgettable experience and both wonderful adventures!

We started our 3 hour tour meeting in the office next to Holiday Club Saariselkä. We were suited with appropriately warm outer clothing and boots and met our guide. She then drove us to the reindeer farm, where we were introduced to our reindeer Tippy and Purrka(sp?). At our time it was just my husband and I. We each had our own sledge. Tippy, a young reindeer, was very excited and a little over eager to get going. The guide was polite and answered all of our questions. We had hot berry juice and cookies around a fire about half way through our adventure. We ended at the farm where we feed and thanked our reindeer and then enjoyed soup made by the owner, who was so sweet and continued to fill us with more information.

Lovely and well held reindeer safari during daytime. Reindeers seem well kept and the quide knew their charecters. Loved to hear about reindeer in Finland and got new info eventhough I’m finnish.

Can warmly recommend!

We went on a snowmobile safari and we got a private tour as there wasn't any other guests. Because of this, our guide Miikka modified the route little bit for us. He was pleasant and super professional. We had great conversations during breaks. Snowmobile safari was a great trip into the nature.

We had a lovely time in the snowy forest being pulled by the reindeer. It was peaceful and beautiful, just what we were hoping for. We stopped and had hot Berry juice and then at the end of our journey had a lovely soup lunch. Unfortunately I had forgotten to tell them my husband is a vegetarian, but they soon whipped up a veggie soup for him, which was great. The staff were very relaxed and friendly.

Booked the reindeer sleigh to look for northern lights tour recently. Unfortunately it was overcast and the clouds stayed around all day and night so we didn't get to see the northern lights that night. The tour itself was different. You get suited up in some super warm overalls and boots then head out via van. It was pitch black when we arrived and a bit chilly. The reindeer were all ready to go, one per sleigh. They are attached in like a train type way, with the one in front pulling the one behind and so on. It's pretty slow going as the reindeer just walk along but it would have been a perfect pace if you could see the northern lights. The whole experience was great and even though we didn't get to see the lights it was still good fun.
We booked through the office when we arrived and it was a simply and easy process and reasonably priced.

My family & I thoroughly enjoyed our Reindeer Safari. Guide Ante made sure we had plenty of warm gear before driving 15 min to the Reindeer Farm. We then took photos while Ante harnessed the reindeers to wooden sleds, then we set off into the snowy forest. We had a break mid-trip & Ante made strong coffee over an open fire. He told us about the reindeers & also Saami culture. Then we returned to the Farm & had delicious Salmon Soup, bread & cakes in an atmospheric Lappish Kota. At lunch my kids, 20 & 18, enjoyed talking with Ante about Saariselka. Ante was friendly & approachable & I would highly recommend this trip.

We came to Lapland well prepared with our own winter gear and clothes. Nevertheless, I recommend you take the guide's advice with wearing the snowsuit ontop of all your winter clothes for extra insulation. The reindeer sleigh ride is slow and cold. We booked the evening ride, but I wish we had been able to do the daytime ride. It was colder and harder to see in the night time ride. We had seen the northern lights the day before and had no expectation of seeing them during the evening reindeer ride, which was good as this was not a very good viewing location. The staff and guide were all wonderful, helpful, and friendly. I strongly recommend taking your reindeer safari through this company, a local Sami run reindeer farm.

My husband and I truly enjoyed our Reindeer ride. We were fortunate to have Ante as our guide. He made sure that we have warm clothing before visiting the reindeer farm.

When we were at the farm, Ante took the time to introduce each reindeer to us while he was putting on their harnesses. He also took the opportunity to share how reindeer herders count and mark their reindeer. It's amazing to learn that all wild reindeer in Finland have owners.

We stopped midway during our ride. Ante was setting up open fire while we were feeding some snacks to the reindeer. The way that Ante preparing the fire is quite an art to watch.

While waiting for the water to boil, Ante took the chance to share Sami culture with us. It's really enlightening for first-time travellers like us to learn the culture from horse's mouth.

At the end of our ride, a warm lunch was waiting for us. We had bread, reindeer with mashed potatoes and pancakes with strawberry sauce. I would highly recommend joining this trip if you are interested in Sami culture and reindeer.

We had a lovely experience with the snowmobile ride. Although the weather did not help (it snowed heavily), they were professional and gave us great tips!

I would recommend to postpone trips/ tours on snowy days, the snowmobiles are heavy and hard to handle at some times. Also, the visibility is not clear.

If you're adventures, you'll love it!

If you're a family, you'll have a wonderful experience.

All in all, one heck of an experience. :)
