Very well presented gardens. Not often open, but opens for NGS several times a year. Divided into ‘rooms’.

Charity Garden Party

As always, the gardens are outstanding. Whichever month I visit they are full of interest. Mr and Mrs Richards are outstanding hosts taking an interest in the charity and in the people visiting their garden. if you have the opportunity, do go and see these beautiful gardens. The refreshments are always delicious.

Lovely gardens. Interesting walks with different planting areas. Nice tea room. Ideal for a 2 hour visit minimum.

Lower Hope Gardens is a 7 acre garden open for the NGS. It is near Ullingswick village and comprises many features. Walking over the little bridge you first see the Lilly pond with its bronze statuary. Continue walking up the lawn and enjoy the hugely colourful island beds planted with trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants. Continue to the glass houses (one has huge butterflies) then onto the lake. You can enjoy tea and cakes in the Hop Kiln. If you live in Herefordshire this garden is a must!
