Couldn't agree more with the previous reviewer. Absolutely amazing location , knowledgeable free tour in both French and English, with free tastings included. Beautiful-looking picnics were available to purchase and enjoyin the lovely grounds, but we had made other plans. (And I think you needed to pre-order, anyway).
The staff were so friendly and welcoming. There was no pressure to buy, but the products were very reasonably priced and the bilingual staff were super-helpful. All in all we thoroughly recommend it!

Lovely people telling the story of their company and the production of their ciders and brandy. Always something new to learn. We have visited orchards in Cotswolds so had some insight. Beautiful taste and delightful people. Just the setting was worth a visit. Delightful selection of products plus jams made by sister in law. A real pleasure.

My partner and I are visiting Honfleur for a few days and are passionate about local produce, so we decided today to drive down to visit the Calvados Christian Drouin distillery. It was very quiet but we were greeted warmly by a gentleman who gave us some warm cider. He then took us on a tour and gave us a great insight to the workings of the distillery. This was followed by a generous tasting of several varieties and ages of Calvados (VSOP, XO, Hors d’Ages) plus cider, pommeau and gin. All in all a great find and we came away with a bag full of goodies. Well worth a visit.

Were staying nearby in Trouville and wanted to visit a Calvados tasting venue and this looked perfect.

Just wandering about in the grounds with our dog, enjoying the atmosphere and reading the good information panels for each building, when a young man approached to see if we needed help. He then gave us an hour's guided tour followed by some lovely Calvados, Pommeau and Gin tasting, all with no obligation to buy. We did though and can thoroughly recommend a visit.

Dog very welcome to walk with us in each area, inc the tasting area and shop.

We went here to as the other half likes his cider. As we had the dog, i sent him in to taste/buy whilst i wandered around a collection of beautiful traditional Normandy half timbered buildings. When it started to rain i went to the shop to see how he was doing, i was invited in by the owner/manager who also invited me to join the next tour, with the dog, if i promised he wouldn't drink the calvados! Myself, my fiancee & the dog had a lovely time, the tour was very informative & entertaining, the tasting was extensive & generous & i can highly recommend it, particularly the pommeau.

We visited in the off season so we were the only visitors to the distillery. That said, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, allowing us to sample a wide variety of calvados products. Our only disappointment is that we didn't buy more!

Based on excellent reviews on Tripadvisor, we came here rather than the other calvados distilleries in the region. We were not disappointed. After only a few minutes wait we were given a highly informative private tour. The firm only employs eight people and produces 10% of the world's calvados. It uses traditional methods of production.

Generous tastings followed only limited by the heat of the day and the need to drive safely.

Amazingly this is still offered free. Though of course we made a purchase!

What an amazing experience - we were looked after by a wonderful lady called Christine who spoke English fluently. We had no idea how Calvados was made and she totally enlightened us. Loved the gin too. If you are in the area, make this one of your top visits.

I already loved calvados before the tour. Our guide however was exceptional and made the tour a memorable experience even if you never heard of the beverage calvados before in your life. The ground themselves are in a fairly rural setting. The process is unique compared to whiskey distilleries and wineries. The end result is unique and I think absolutely sublime! I have vintage calvados from this producer in my cellar at home so to actually visit the producer was a real treat. The tasting at the end of the tour is very generous and with no charge is worth a drive.
