- Beth L4 contributionsI love you, Assyrtiko. Let me count the ways …Wine tasting in a relaxed and beautiful setting is on par with the authenticity of the wines offered by Artemos Karamolegos. Showcasing the versatility of the ancient varietal of Assyrtiko is the forte of this winery. My guide, Helen was as joyful as she was knowledgeable about the wines and her winery colleagues who she refers to as ‘family.’ Thank you, Helen, for making my visit extra special (eg Answering all of my questions!). I wrapped it all up with a delicious meal of a seafood dakos salad at the winery restaurant, and of course, a glass of Assyrtiko. 🤜🍷🤛Visited April 2023Traveled soloWritten April 22, 2023

Inside, it nicely decorated and we were able to tour the wine cellar. Really interesting to see all those bottles of wine aging with dust. The lunch was excellent, possibly the best meal I had offered by the 12 day tour.Visited April 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten May 4, 2023
- Claire H3 contributionsDinner and wine tastingWe booked the wine tasting with dinner as part of a trip for my soon to be sister-in-law's hen do and it was well worth the visit! We started with the wine tasting and got to try 4 gorgeous wines which our lovely host Thea explained to us in detail. This was followed by an amazing dinner, as part of our package we had a set spend per person in the restaurant and as we hadn't used it all, they gave us a bottle of wine to take away with us. Would 100% recommend if you are visiting SantoriniVisited May 2023Traveled with friendsWritten May 25, 2023
- FabrizioNorthville, Michigan8 contributionsThank you George!!!While in Athens we had a glass of Artemis Karamolegos Santorini white wine and instantly loved it. Santorini was our next stop on our honeymoon so we decided to go and check out the winery since we loved the wine so much while we were there. We came in around 11:30 with no reservation and it seemed like a large group wine tasting was already under way. The hostess immediately made arrangements for us to still have a wine tasting and that’s when we met George. George went above and beyond in explaining their wines, vineyard and gave us an incredible experience. We did the wine tasting of 5 wines and paired it with a Greek sample platter. I never thought tomato paste could taste so amazing. Thank you for an incredible experience George!Visited August 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten August 10, 2023
- dese2Auburn, New York2,687 contributionsEnjoyed the beautiful grounds and the wineWe visited for tasting of three wines with a Viking Cruise tour. There were only nine on the tour, so we got a lot of personal attention. The setting was just beautiful and since it was October we sat outdoors. A resident cat joined us! With the wine we had some cheese, crackers and cold cuts. Our server was knowledgeable of the wines, grapes and process. There is a shop where you may purchase wines.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten November 25, 2023

Very cozy atmosphere, the sommelier knew everything about the wines we tasted, she was excellent, very kind and so helpful answering all our questions! All of the wines were very tasty and delicious combined with greek and local products as tomato paste, greek olives and olive oil, cheese, fava where just unbelievable,we had also a tour inside the winery explaining as all about the history, the production of the local wines, generallyeverything about them. They have also a mini market were you can buy whatever you've tasted and also the local product. The place is just magical you will definitely relax and feel so comfortable, decoration is unique and unbelievable, the staff was so friendly as also in the restaurant above the winery.Next time we will do the cooking class lesson for sure.Everything so perfect, thank you very much for the opportunity to live this amazing experience we will definitively see you again!

The best winery in the Santorini.
Our concierge of the hotel where we stayed give us the recommendation for the Karamalegos and trust us was the best experience in the island. The white local wine is the best , the staff is top notch, they have a restaurant called Aroma Avlisa a really mouthwatering dishes. They accommodate us even without reservation (Our original reservation was only for the wine tasting ). Very high recommended.

Booked in the last minute. The place is pleasant, lots of shades with trees in the courtyard where tasting is held, and adjacent vineyards. Staff is very polite and sommelier is knowlegable. She took time to explain all the wines , and answer our questions. You feel the history of Santorini winemaking here. The place has a restaurant on the upper floor, so if you are hungry you can get upstairs for a bite. Excellent food and reasonable prices. I would higly reccomend visit to this winery.

We visited the winery on their first day back. The tasting area was still being renovated but they accommodated us in the restaurant area. The atmosphere was very inviting and our sommelier, George, extremely knowledgeable. We had a great time and the wine was excellent!

We stayed at akra suites and visited the wine cellar there. Then the staff suggested we try the food and the wine tasting at the winery. An unforgettable experience.
Fani did for us the wine tasting. Very knowledgeable and professional. She was ready to answer all our questions and to adjust the wine tasting to our preference.
Later we had food at the restaurant.
Can’t recommend it enough.
All the plates were unique. Traditional with a twist.
The stuff we’re very nice and polite.
Can’t wait for our next visit. Thank you very much.

We came to Artemis Karamolegos Winery for a tasting this Fall. Charitina gave a tour of the winery grounds and a detailed peek into the winery and how their wine is made. It was fascinating. She is an excellent guide. Then we had a wine tasting on the patio with a beautiful sunset. Charitina served us 6 flights. She is so personable and knowledgeable about each and every wine. We helped us find just the right bottle to take back to enjoy. She truly made our trip to Santorini memorable.

Nice place with some world class dishes. The restaurant is part of the winery. The service is awesome and so are the salads and the white aubergine mousse. The Seabass was nice but such a small portion that I thought I am in a three star michelin restaurant. The open wines are great and surprisingly they had a top rose by the glas

How much do the tasting tours cost? I have other things to do than call every attraction in Santorini to ask for their prices... It would be helpful to indicate them on the websites menu.

Do they have red wines?

Dear Mr Edgmont,
Terra Nera Red and Mavrotragano are both red wines produced at Artemis Karamolegos Winery. They are made from different grape varieties and both express the true character of this unique terroir.
At Aroma Avlis Food & Wine, the restaurant of Artemis Karamolegos Winery, guests have the chance to pair their dishes with wines produced at our winery or choose from our extended wine list wines from all over Greece.

I am going to me on a cruise, stopping in Santorini on September 1, 2015. Would a taxi be a good way to get to and from Artemis Karamolegos winery? Are reservations necessary?
Thank you.

Dear Tony,
A taxi would be the best way since you are going to be on a cruise and the available time on the island might be limited.
Concerning reservations, they're necessary so that you enjoy the tour and tasting and for us to keep our standards high...
