We didn’t know what to expect as booked the only place within a reasonable drive offering spa days to treat ourselves on our 10 year anniversary whilst holidaying for the week in the Peak District. Throughout our time and on the way back we kept saying to each other how lovely it was. Friendly reception staff, lovely welcome coffee, we had the pool to ourselves for half an hour then in the hot tub with spectacular views, at any time there were only 4 people in the spa so no fighting to get to things, the masseuse was lovely (thank you Lisa for friendly chilled service and the most relaxed I’ve felt in many many months) - I had the face and body discovery and my knots have been kneaded out and the facial was pure heaven. Lunch was equally lovely, a lot of choice and an array of soft drinks and non alcoholic alternatives. Simply lovely, thanks for an amazing spa day!

Tucked away at the top of a steep country lane, Losehill House is in position that affords beautiful views over the local countryside. We were kindly gifted a half day spa including lunch and had a lovely time overall. We received a warm welcome from staff and drinks, and then a lunch overlooking valley to begin with...and this is not your usual ‘spa’ lunch of chicken salad. A choice of 2-3 beautifully presented courses certainly filled us up. Husband had the mackerel and beef and I had leek soup with tasty sourdough and onion tart - really yummy. Couldn’t fit in a dessert given we were about to go to the spa. Spa is fine, but small pool and unfortunately steam room wasn’t working (although even if it I was it would only fit 2 people in at a time). Sauna ok for 6 max. Overall a bit of a squish with the number of people using. Outdoor jacuzzi was particularly nice, very atmospheric views. Had a head, neck and shoulder massage which was fine. I really think that facilities were to be extended it would be a real plus, given the service and location, which were both excellent.
Tip:Don’t eat before you arrive!

Slightly anxious about social distancing, I checked in for a half day spa break as a special treat. I needn’t have worried. Tables were very well spaced in the dining area for the delicious lunch. The pool area had very few people in it; everyone had a one hour time slot which meant there was no overcrowding whatsoever. Indeed, for nearly half an hour I had the pool to myself.
The seaweed treatment I had was awesome. Really relaxing - I just couldn’t believe how quickly the time went.
Will definitely go back and perhaps stay in the hotel overnight too.

Fabulous day half day spa, excellent back massage and delicious 3 course meal
Due to COVID we had an hour slot on the spa area including outdoor hot tub with excellent views m. The hour long treatment was so relaxing one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Finally a 3 course meal which was delicious all home made fresh food really picture in a plate. All the staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble

My daughters and I booked a half day spa package. Unfortunately due to staff shortages we were not able to have our treatments but this did not spoil our day. We enjoyed the spa facilities for 2 hours and then had a delicious lunch in the restaurant…and we have got vouchers so we can return another day for our treatments. The staff and hotel were wonderful and we can’t wait to go back.

My sons bought me a spa day for my 60th birthday but due to covid the hotel adapted it for me.
My daughter and I had a massage and facial upstairs in the salon which was just amazing and so relaxing.
The afternoon tea served at a table with wonderful views was delicious and we ate the lot!
A very lovely birthday treat in a wonderful venue. Would love to stay overnight and would highly recommend

We stayed for 2 nights for my 50th birthday treat, the breakfast and dinner deal. We chose the location because you can do some great walks from the doorstep in lovely scenery. This was our first visit to Losehill and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our room (superior) was of a good size and very comfortable. The quality of the food was excellent. In the evening you get a choice of 4 different starters and 4 different mains and 4 different desserts. Once they were aware my wife was vegetarian they brought out another menu with several choices for her. The breakfast was excellent also. The spa facilities are small compared to a large hotel with an indoor pool, indoor steam (which wasnt working unfortunately), sauna hut outside and outdoor hot tub with views over the hills. You book an hour slot for the Spa so it doesn't get too busy. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Overall would recommend Losehill and we are sure to return.

Such a wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and attentive. Not only were the spa facilities clean and well-maintained, it was also very quiet, although we did go on a Sunday. The massage treatment itself was five stars!! We were so happy with the food - homemade bread, delicious soup and plenty of veggies to go with the main (tarte tatin). Overall, a memorable day which was really good value for money and made even better by how attentive and lovely the staff are. We will be back!!

What a disaster don't bother going and wasting your money, have just returned from losehill spa , it was so small you could not even get changed properly with out knocking somebody , the steam room was not working that left the hot tub which was not that hot the sauna and the small pool, not enough room to sit around relax or read a book , then I asked to change my lunch from 1.30 to 12 oc this was not a problem with reception , I went to the restaurant at 12 oc but did not get seated till 12.20 this was making me late as I had a treatment at 12.50 so I had just finished my lunch when Julie the beauty therapist came for me I had no time to relax after lunch due to the restaurant staff not taking my order quick enough,
All way through the meal all I could here was cutlery been thrown into a drawer I could not here the back ground music.
Thanks to Julie who gave me a fantastic facial and neck massage my day was not totally wasted, I will not be returning to losehill and will not be recommending it to any of my friends.
