One of the famous "white" towns of Andalusia near Ronda is definitely worth a visit if not a climb up to the Castillo and the Church of Neustra Señora de la Encarncion. We drove in but found out that streets in the town are sometimes too narrow to get through. Be careful! The church looks like it needs a paint job but when you go in there is the most beautiful Madonna looking down at her deceased and Holy son. Breathtaking especially if you are a Catholic. In addition I've never seen so many banners extolling the importance of Mary in daily life such as the "Reina del Rosario." (Queen of the rosary) Fascinating. Views from the Plaza del La Iglesia or castle are outstanding. A can't miss place.

Super cool little church just outside of town. It’s pretty far to walk to and the location on trip advisors map is wrong. It’s on the road to Setenil. When you turn right just outside of town it’s down about one kilometer on the right

This eagles nest of a Castle is perched high above the town. Think of Querebus in Cathar country for a comparison. It can be seen for miles around and looks like an impossible construction but it is really worth the visit.

Walk up the steep steps to the Ticket counter ( 2 Euros per person entry) where the kind lady will show the entrance to the Castle and walk through a small entrance way and then up to the first level for panoramic views of the city. They ascend to the Tow and see 360 degree across the Plains and the mountains. Walk up to the Tower for the final views.

If you are scared of heights dont do this BUT if you a history nerd, love high places, love the wild and romantic then you have to come here...outstanding.

Perched on top of the highest point for miles, the views from the front of the church are breathtaking. A bit of a scary drive up through very narrow, VERY steep streets.
The inside of the church is huge and very ornate chapels line each side.
    Well worth a visit

Beautiful views from up on top of this monument. It’s about four to five flights up but well worth the effort. We took up some pastries and coffee and had a little picnic

The Castillo in Olvera stands in a commanding position atop a huge lump of rock that tiers over the old town. Extremely well-preserved, it is also easy to see why it was a key element of the string of castles along the northern frontier of the Moorish caliphate between the ninth and fifteenth centuries and why it was such a challenge to any would-be attackers. There’s only one narrow and steep external stone stairway up to the gate (wear good shoes!), where a barbican towers over the entrance. Once inside, a huge stone keep rises another two stories and now houses some artefacts found on the site as well as some large and striking artworks. You can still walk around the fortified walls too, step inside the sentry towers with their arrow-slits, and look at the two underground water tanks that supplied the garrison. It’s a wonderful place in which to let your imagination transport you back through the centuries, as well as to get unrivalled views over the town, the impressive main church and the rolling hills around.
