What travelers are saying
- CsCBlaine, WA547 contributionsThis place was just as great as I remembered from my last time in London! It was really packed but we were still able to get around.Written March 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Matthew MFarmington, NY286 contributionsMy 13 yo daughter loved it. They have Glossier which is apparently a really big deal. It’s a nice setting for the different shops.Written March 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Carol GDerby, UK344 contributionsNot been for years so was good to go back. However, do not expect everything to be open/set up at the advertised open time - we went early to avoid the crowds. Therefore we only stayed as long as it took to walk around.Written March 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Merilyn_S_12London, UK1,004 contributionsThere are heaps of food options here for under ten pounds... heaps of quirky little english shops and places to sit and eat... I'd beware of pick pockets but it's a nice place to go and eat... and have a mingle/lookWritten March 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Julia SLondon, UK3 contributionsLovely Sunday market offering a range of stalls with even lovelier flowers thank you Barry for the loveliest conversation you are the Reeson I’ve decided to start writing reviews you deserve a special shout outWritten October 15, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MikesWandersCharlotte, NC143 contributionsWe cabbed from central London on a Sunday to check out this market. It was fun and interesting, though nothing really stands out. We saw everything from furniture to record albums to vintage clothing, and every type of prepared food you can imagine. We samples some mini-waffles with sugar and cinnamon, some chicken dumplings and coffee served out of an old black cab. It was an enjoyable way to spend a few hours and we will definitely return on a future trip to London. After we finished this market, we walked to the Columbia Street Flower Market which was full of...wait for it...flowers. It was a good way to spend time seeing a part of London that otherwise we likely would not have seen.Written February 21, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Susan BGrantham, United Kingdom6 contributionsAfter contacting Mark the Head Beadle through the website he rang to arrange to meet my friend and I for a tour of the Arcade the following morning. What a fantastic experience! We felt very privileged to be in Mark's company and delighted with the stories he told of the history of the Arcade with it's famous customers and amazing wares. He invited questions and it was obvious that he loved his job and enjoyed passing on his vast knowledge in a friendly and approachable way. I thoroughly recommend this as a lovely unique experience.Written January 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - David MOslo, Norway242 contributionsThis is a cool and very pleasant place to visit, if you would like to experience a unique Brixton vibe. My impression is and I could be wrong, but this is where many locals shop and eat here. We ate at two small restaurants and the food was excellent and the prices very reasonable, considering this is London.
If I know anyone who is visiting Brixton I will definitely recommend a trip to Brixton Village.Written June 11, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Used 5 of the food and drink options and all were very good. Place is packed on weekends so get there earlier than usual dinner hours. The structure is what makes this place paired with variety of food options.Written March 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TWMIMHorsham, UK171 contributionsI was last here just before the official 10.00am opening, on a Sunday morning. It was interesting to see the traders unpacking their boxes and setting out their wares ready for the weekend Covent Garden crowds.
This market is a good place to go if you like handmade jewellery, prints, watercolours and other handcrafts, which you’ll find from Tuesday to Sunday; antiques and collectibles are the order of the day on Mondays.
The market stalls are original from the days, long gone now, when Covent Garden was London’s busy wholesale fruit/vegetables/flower market.Written May 1, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There was loads of variation and everything looked so fresh and tempting. Unfortunately there wasn't really anything suitable for young children so we decided to try elsewhere but had there just been the two of us we definitely would have got something here.Written February 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
