What travelers are saying
- Chris h3 contributionsWe were treated to an executive tour principally because the four of us were the only visitors on a Monday morning! Victoria, who has been with the family since 2007, was so knowledgeable and as a bit of a wine buff myself I struggled to find erudite questions as we progressed around the farm. A delightful setting and not too arduous to see both the vineyard, the processing side and the brewery. Now to the best part, the tasting. Whilst the wines were not of the same ABV level as New World wines the freshness, clarity, bouquet and aftertaste were truly excellent in our general opinion. We bought some in the shop afterwards.
The beer was of an equivalent standard demonstrating attention to detail. Finally their liqueurs interesting and well worth sampling!
Overall a delightful and informative time was enjoyed by all.Written March 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - VikkiSouthampton, UK23 contributionsDuring the October break, my Dad & I came to Neffield place & enjoyed a guided tour by Phillip.
Really loved the grounds & felt like I learnt an awful lot in a short amount of time! Having no previous knowledge about the grounds or William Morris I left feeling I knew more about the man behind the business.
I may be a slightly bias as our guide was is my Grandfather is a volunteer, But the passion & knowledge from the National Trust is clearly apparent.Written January 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Many more rooms open than when I last visited and also an exhibition in one of the other buildings. Not many guides available in the rooms. Lovely flapjack in the kitchen. Gardens were beautiful as usual even on a very windy day.Written March 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Adventurers049Brisbane, Australia3,393 contributionsThe rowing section of the museum is located on the first floor and is very interesting.
The highlight however is The Wind in the Willows exhibition.

Always fascinating for a variety of birds (gulls, ducks, swans, geese, cormorants to name but a few) plus the different boats and houses along the river.Written September 3, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Julian319Orkney32 contributionsWhat a wonderful Wildlife Trust nature reserve, hidden away at the end of a long, long Chilterns Lane. Superb walk, full of woodland and grassland wildlife even in the depths of winter. Marsh Tits, Raven, Buzzard, the many Red Kites of course, Spurge Laurel, Velvet Shank fungi, brilliant displays of mosses and lots of signs of good manangement amongst the many highlights. I'd love to go back in spring or summer.Written December 27, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- chrissiepeMaidstone, UK25 contributionsUnusual art but beautiful with beautiful price tags! They had really unusual metal sculptures, I can't remember the artist at a really good price. There were several pictures by an artist that uses real people positioned to look like famous people.
