We only called in as we had seen the signs and was on an adventure day. What a beautiful place, very well kept site. The lady was very knowledgeable on the area and gave us some insight to the castle and the area as we aren't locals. The signage in and around the castle is very informative and has great impressions on what each floor of the castle looked like. We had some dinner then walked down to the chapel, again very well kept.

Just to say the key is no longer available but visitors are more than welcome to walk up and view the castle from the outside and enjoy the spectacular views

Heritage Hub was extremely friendly and helpful! Paul and Amy spent a super long time with me assisting with my family history search. I can’t thank them enough! If you are into genealogy for people from Scotland this is the place to go, especially if you are not from Scotland. They were a resource that without it, I would never have known what I know now about my family. I am forever grateful!

Slightly out of the way, but a really beautifully sculpted monument depicting an important moment in Scottish history.
Takes a few minutes to view, but never forgotten

I've often gone to Chisholme to volunteer, and I keep coming back for more. I love to volunteer in the garden, with the freshly picked food instantaneously appearing on my plate in the most delightful meal. I love to plant trees in the forest, and tend to the ones which are already on their way. I love to help in the kitchen and learn from those who know how to bring the best out of the food.

Over the years I've been getting more involved with the courses at Chisholme, e.g. the Foundations of Natural Intelligence, one of the most eye opening experiences of my life. I've started attending study too, and every time I'm left wanting more, finding new parts of myself which I didn't know existed.

If I'm ever in the area I'll pop by for Sunday lunch and go for a walk. I love returning back to nature, and to myself.

I really love this church and the atmosphere it creates.
With it's dark stained walls, its not flashy or opulent.
It isn't loud but its strong presence pulls you in.
Just sitting on a mound, above the buildings around.

A welcoming and friendly local church, even to unfamiliar guests to their church.
The minister/pastor was very approachable and clearly has a gift for preaching the bible faithfully and for making the bible accessible to those listening.
The service on Sunday morning has a nice range of ages and there are activities for children during the service. I really enjoyed the service that I attended and would highly recommend this church to anyone seeking a gospel-centred church.
If I was staying in the Borders rather than just visiting then I would definitely be going back!

This is great it was about an English flag that was captured and brought back to Hawick. The history is ok and I like the look of this statue.

Very disappointing , it was full of animal poo, definitely not preserved, all I came back with was a nettle sting…. Was really excited to go after going to Eden camp, nearly ended up with four flat tires too. No information boards
