And it’s free! Donations welcome. It’s housed in the oldest building in Hawick and there are temporary art exhibits and permanent art exhibits to enjoy. There is a shop too manned by a very friendly and informative member of staff called Diane.Written October 9, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Maren L1 contributionHeritage Hub was extremely friendly and helpful! Paul and Amy spent a super long time with me assisting with my family history search. I can’t thank them enough! If you are into genealogy for people from Scotland this is the place to go, especially if you are not from Scotland. They were a resource that without it, I would never have known what I know now about my family. I am forever grateful!Written March 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Roger NAbingdon, UK449 contributionsBooked a tour for us as a stop while on holiday in the area. The staff were very welcoming and the tour very interesting! Lots of opportunities to ask questions about the brewing / distilling process and the history of the building and Hawick. Tasting for non drivers and shop well worth doing!Written October 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Pat W1 contribution2nd visit this week, 1st visit on Tuesday we had a lovely lunch in the cafe, service and food where excellent. Staff in the shop very helpful, gave lovely advice without being pushy, very friendly, informative Margaret D informed us about the tours around the mill which we didn't know about, fully booked that day. We booked on line Thursday morning for Thursday 1300 very simple to book even for those computer simpletons like myself. Even though we weren't sure where to go the staff in the gift shop recognised us from our last visit and pointed us in the right direction. We had an amazing guide who explained everything, every process, knew all the staff my name, it was like a huge family, the interactions where so informative everyone was happy to explain what they where doing and the part they played in the production. I had no idea how many stages a garment had to go through. We would highly recommendWritten February 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
