I saw the internal art and exhibition but was more a cafe stop which was just the ticket. weather was beautiful so was able to enjoy lunch in the outdoor area. Freshly made food was well done and tasty and would definitely call again when next there. I think I had spicy mixed beans on toast - bread was great. Also didn't know about the additional art and nature walk so will have to come back.

What a fascinating half hr. The owner is more than happy to explain the weaving process to you from getting the yarn from their own sheep, plant dying for the different shades & you can see the traditional looms working.
Then visit the shop where thereā€™s an array of beautiful soft products to purchase if you wish - flat caps, scarves, jumpers, throws, rugs.

The museum is free with a donation box. Lots of interesting displays of island history. Easy access for all as on one level.

After a good walk to the Stones at Quinish we were pretty hungry so headed for lunch at the Old Byre. The soup and baguette combo was very generous. Hearty and tasty soup and a whole filled baguette (most places only do a half size for a combo!). I opted for the Tobermory smoked trout with cream cheese which was delicious, as was the soup. With no room for the delicious baking, we opted to take some home for tea. Reasonable prices and everything prepared to order. The upstairs museum is full of tiny models of life on Mull in the past (lots of lovely detail at a height suitable for children), geology photos/exhibits, stuffed birds (which all died of natural causes, you'll be pleased to hear), photos of flowers, fungi, etc. Some lovely, original gifts and postcards in the shop too.

Nice quaint little historical centre informing us about the local history. Very interesting to read about schools, churches, from a different age but also the struggles they faced. Well worth a visit.

Lovely gallery and shop. Their pasties are incredible; one with a Thai twist!

Great coffee too with lovely warm service.

Angus absolutely captures the essence of the Island in his wonderful paintings and was incredibly welcoming when we chanced upon his gallery, we picked out an evocative framed print of one of his Ben More paintings, the perfect reminder of our visit to Mull.

Lovely small gallery at the end of the high street. Staff very friendly and helpful. Picked 2 prints but excellent varied choice.
Some lovely paintings of the island using different formats.
Not always the standard image so good variety. Excellent selection of prints which would improve any home.
    Well worth a visit.

A little gem - delicious veggie food with friendly service. We sat outside as it was sunny and the views over the bay are amazing. Loved the interior too. Cosy, with interesting artwork.

We had a fantastic guided walk to the lighthouse. The guide was excellent, incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Very good value also. His description (sorry forgot his name) of the flora, animals and general insights and knowledge of the area and environment really made it intersecting. Iā€™d strongly recommend this walk and the centre.
